How do we, as the DM of the campaign on DDB, go about adding an existing character to a new campaign. The purpose behind this would be for a player who joins the campaign to be able to pick up a premade character I have for them.
So you would add a character to the campaign just like anyone else would, via the link. When a character that you own is in a campaign you can click unassign and basically abandon the character. Then, if someone clicks the link to join the game they can see the unassigned characters and claim one.
Im the dm and I have already made my party in dnd beyond but i cannot see the link to add them to the campaign? Isnt it easier to have a button which adds character sheets to an campaign?
I have to make all my players sheets from scratch as an unassigned character by clicking the button in the campaign. This cannot be the only way.

Top right corner of the screen when you view the campaign you created. Says "Send players this invite link to have them join your campaign" right underneath it. Copy and open the link in a separate tab or window and you'll get the options to join with an existing character from your collection (that isn't part of another campaign already!) or to create one from scratch.

Hi there folks,

Thanks for the input!

1. Add the player to your campaign by clicking on your invite link.
2. Click "Unassign" on the player in your campaign.
3. Send the link to your player to claim the character.

I don't see any "Unassign" link. Has that been changed to "Deactivate," maybe?
