The benefits vary by school. An arcane tradition tied to a spell school always includes the benefit that adding those types of spells to your spell book (when copying from scrolls and the like) are less expensive to add.

Can you please tell me in what way you actually get better with a chosen arcane tradition? You say "just make you better with some spells ", but how?
