All creatures have hit dice, including familiars. You can find the hit dice in the creature's stat block if NPC or on the character sheet if a PC. All stat blocks for all find familiar options, including the extra options offered by Pact of the Chain, can be found in the basic rules.
Hit dice = game equivalent of life force (even undeath).
