I'm a relatively new DM using Lost Mines of Phandelver adventure with DnDBeyond. I recently also bought the new essential starter kit Dragon of Icespire Peak. In there I found some cool cards that I gave my players as loot rewards when they finished Cragmaw Hideout. The cards are Mystery Key, Lute of Illusions and Goggles of Night. So my players now have this equipment but I can't find it in any lists on DnDBeyond. Should I create a custom item for them in each character equipment tab? How would you do it?
Also similarly; What do you do when players loot items such as a statue, jeweled box, pearls, carnelians and stuff like that? They want to keep tabs in their equipment list on DnDBeyond but don't know the best way. So it becomes a mix of handwritten notes and digital tools.
For basic things generally not of a magical nature a player can add these to their character sheet. Under Equipment there is an option add custom equipment. This will create something called Custom Equipment, followed by a number, click this and choose to customise. You can edit the weight, gold value, name, description and add a note.
For magic items, you can create homebrew magic items using the editor by clicking Create a Magic item under the Creations menu. You don't need to publish homebrew for it to be shared between those in your campaign and you don't need to enable content sharing or have any subscriptions - you can all share each other's homebrew for free automatically.

The lute of illusions is an instrument of illusions. The mystery key also exists. When you search for an item, the results should tell you which source the item is found in.
[EDIT] Both appear to come from Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, so you might need to own that to add them to a character sheet.

Oh Googles of Night are actually in the basic rules.

Awesome. Thanks. I will buy Xanathar’s Guide to Everything.
If you don't want the whole book now you can get the items for $1.99 each or all the XGTE magic items for $6.99.
If you want the rest of the book later you just pay the difference between the total price and what you have spent so far.
If you do buy the whole book, I recomend using a coupon code (like RIVALS19 or TWITCHCON2019).
Thank you!
Just my 2 cents, but Xanathar's Guide is a terrific source book and worth buying if you can afford it.
Also note that coupon codes can only be used once each, but can be used on multiple books at a time.
