I'm looking for an adventure that was published back in the 2nd Edition era. I'm pretty sure it was published in an old Dungeon magazine. The gist of the adventure is that the party stumbles across what looks like an abandoned mine with a very lifelike (and clearly petrified) gnome out front. The players investigate the mine and find a broken section of wall that appears to lead to a secluded vale. The part of the wall they exit through opens into some sort of fenced in area and there is a farm in the vale that looks to be sized for giants. In fact, the vale farm is home to a pair of stone giants. The gnome miners accidentally mined a hole through the wall of their "chicken pen." The "chickens" are really cockatrices and the startled monsters turned most or all of the gnomes into stone. If the party wants to get the rest of the gnomes back, they will have to sneak around or negotiate with the stone giant couple that runs the farm. The wife stone giant took a likening to the gnome statues and has used them to decorate her garden. The stone giant couple also have a pet cave bear that sort of acts like a farm dog. Also there are cockatrices running loose now that their enclosure has broken. The giants aren't very happy about that last thing.
Anyway, like I said, I know this adventure was a thing, probably back in the mid to late 90's when the magazine was still under TSR, but I can't for the life of me remember what issue it was in or any more about the adventure. I kind of want to look it over again and maybe do an update to it for a one-shot for some friends of mine.
Does this ring any bells for anyone? If anyone remembers the name of the adventure or even the issue it was published in, that would really help my search.
