I recently added a riding horse, riding saddle, and a bit and bridle to my character’s inventory. I am now encumbered and apparently carrying the equipment the horse should be wearing.
Perhaps I should add the horse’s equipment in “other possessions”?
On Roll20, one of my players added everything into the inventory that auto calculates weight and encumbrance - including the horse. We always joked that the character was giving the horse a piggy back because it was a little tired.
Currently the best way to note down items like saddles, etc. would be to use the Other Possessions and write in manually. Down the line there will be a whole Char Sheet revamp, and I know there had been multiple requests to improve the inventory management.
Hi. Alternative is that for that item you "customise" and manually adjust the Weight of the item to zero, and make a note (in Notes) field that it is carried by the horse.

Any suggestions appreciated.
I use "other possessions" myself, seems easiest at this point.
Perpetually annoyed that Eldritch Knights can't use Eldritch Blast, Eldritch Smite, and Eldritch Sight.
At least you're not carrying the horse.

Yeah, and I’m not one to stare a gift horse in the mouth.

The mental image I got from this post was just too much.
