So I'm just getting into purchasing content to unlock, so I can get my first character created. Unless I am mistaken, the Dunamancy spells appear in Explorer's Guide to Wildemount. The text says that at the DM's discretion, a Warlock may be able to have access to one or more of these spells. I am just wondering whether the Dunamancy spells will be available for my Hexblade Warlock's digital character sheet if I purchase them to unlock. (I hope I have the right idea of how the digital content works!). Thanks in advance...
Dunamantic spells are currently locked by the system to the wizard subclasses from Explorer's Guide to Wildemount. To grant them to your Hexblade, you would have to obtain the spells, create homebrew copies of them, and add "Hexblade" to the spell list for those spells, making them selectable by your Hexblade.
So, its currently weird in that the dunomancy spells are restricted to be accessible by exclusively the 2 dunomantic wizard subclasses within dnd beyond. As far as i am aware there is no way to give other characters the spells without homebrewing an alternative. However, there is nothing stopping you from creating homebrew duplicates for the spells and removing those restrictions.

Hmm, I see... so would I have to purchase and unlock those spells first, or just find them and put them in Homebrew form? And does one require a subscription to create Homebrew content? And on a tangent of that subject, with the Master Tier subscription, it states that "Campaign" content is shareable amongst many players & DM. So does this include Homebrew content, and also I am wondering, does it include magic items on your character sheet? Thanks again for the info!

Yeah that is weird! Unless I am mistaken, Wizards are able to cast all(?) spells from other schools, and just don't possess specialist abilities outside their own.
Again, I will try that method, should my DM allow the Dunamancy spells. Thank you once again!
In the homebrew editor, you can use an existing spell or item you have access as a base to copy from. So if you own the dunamancy spells, you would just need to create a new spell in the homebrew editor using the existing spell as a base, and would only need to add 'warlock' to the classes that have access to the spell. If you don't own the spells already, then you would need to create them from scratch in the homebrew editor, or find a similar non-dunamantic spell to use as a base, but you'd have to make more changes than just the class (so, for example, if you've got a dunamancy spell that does 3d6 force damage and pushes people away, you might be able to use a spell that does 4d6 damage and halves your speed as a starting point).
You don't need a subscription of any kind to make homebrew, everyone has access to those tools. You would need a subscription if you wanted to use homebrew someone else had made and published, but that won't be a factor here as you can't publish others' copyrighted materials as homebrew. You can share homebrew with others in a campaign, without having to publish it. That doesn't require a Master Tier subscription. You need a Master Tier subscription to share purchased materials (such as the EGtW) with other players in that campaign (if you have a character in the campaign that character can use any spells, items, etc that appear in the shared content, and you can usually read the compendium info - the DM can turn some of that off, though that's usually more relevant for adventure books, and maybe monsters).
Dunamancy is a special 'new' type of magic in EGtW, so per that book only the two wizard schools specializing in it have automatic access. The conceit is basically that it's either too new to have spread or still top secret. Since it does have that sidebar allowance for other classes/wizard schools to use it, it's mostly unfortunately locked because of how DDB chose to implement that restriction, but hopefully that will be fixed in the future.

Thanks so much for all the clarifications! But I am a bit confused about this one matter. So with a Master Tier subscription, unless I am mistaken, up to 60 players can share unlocked content (up to 5 campaigns with up tp 12 players each). So my assumption was that the Master Tier is mainly for the DM to share things like magic items, adventure books and monsters as you mentioned. However, if you can share the purchased materials with so many other players, what would be the point of individually having a Hero Tier subscription? I presume I am missing something here! lol Perhaps it is simply that you need a Hero Tier subscription just to have a digital character sheet, or is there also more to it, with respect to unlocking and sharing material for individual use? Thanks again!
Dunamancy spells are not available for warlocks. It’s a wizard thing. But you’ll have to talk to your dm and they may allow you to have access to them. I use them as rewards or things that any spellcasting class can obtain through various ways in game.
I forget what the numbers are so I can't speak to that, but with campaigns once content sharing is turned on, the content belonging to anyone in the campaign is shared. So say the DM owns the DMG, the PHB, and Tasha's. Player 1 owns the Monster Manual, Player 2 has bought every subclass available, and you own EGtW. Now all four of you have access to all of those, either to read in general, or to use in characters in the campaign.
What Hero Tier does is let you create more than the 6 characters people get for free. Maybe 6 character slots was enough when you only had the Basic Rules and EGtW. But now you've got access to all these other things to play around with and make more characters, and with Hero Tier, you have unlimited character slots to play with builds and mess around. And Hero Tier also lets you use other peoples' published homebrew, as I mentioned earlier.
Okay, I follow you. Just one more question... would I have to have a subscription, whether Hero or Master Tier, in order for a friend with a Master Tier subscription to share content with me? Thank you once more!
Nope! They just need to enable content sharing inside the campaign, then share the link to the campaign with you. Then any characters you make inside that campaign will be able to use content from the shared books.
because of how DDB chose to implement that restriction, but hopefully that will be fixed in the future.
it isn't anything to be fixed, per the RAW, dunamancy is exclusive to those two subclasses. The reason similar restrictions (namely the Battlerager Barb and formerly the Bladesinger Wizard) weren't applied or enforced is because the class system have a different system that doesn't allow for race based restrictions, unlike the spell system which DOES have class and subclass restrictions.
