So I put together an item basically meant to serve as a new subclass, since those aren't customizable yet as a homebrew thing and 5e lacks the sort of "has a lot of pets" class common in action RPGs. I submitted it so that my players could look at it without me having to put the item in their inventory personally, and it was rejected.
I'm not mad about it, but I would like to know if there'd be any way to find out why it was rejected?
The homebrew system isnt designed to showcase things like subclasses entered into items. Instead, it's main purpose is to showcase finished, completed, work that is ready to be used by other users on the site.
For sharing info with your own players, this is what campaign sharing is for. Any submission which reads as designed for a singular campaign will be rejected as its designed for personal use and not intended to be published.
As filcat mentioned, the fastest way to find out more is to message a moderator. The rejection message will show in a red box on the homebrew entry as well.

It should appear a message explaining why it was rejected. Anyway, for any appeal or clarification, send a private message to any moderator.
