I'm working on making a magic longsword for a campaign. I've been able to add in the rest of the effects on the sword that my dm and I came up with, but there's on thing that I haven't been able to find how to do. I want to add necrotic damage to the weapon in a way that functions with the versatile property. The idea was that, along with the standard 1d8 (1d10) slashing damage, I want it to do 1d4 (1d6) necrotic damage. I'm trying to add that necrotic damage to the sword but I'm not finding a way to make that visible on the character sheet. If there is a way to do so, how would I go about adding it?
It will only display the additional damage as a note next to the regular damage. You will only be able to see it on a mobile device if you turn it sideways, I don’t know about the app. Either way it won’t be rollable, the player will still have to roll that damage separately.
