So because I am a huge w e e b I want to make a half tabaxi race (it's just neko) and I'm thinking about how to actually mix human and tabaxi elements together, here's what I've got so far
Ability score improvements Dex and charisma go up 1, they can also get a plus 1 in any stat (can go to dex or charisma for plus 2) Alignment, many half tabaxi are chaotic following there feline ancestry but can sometimes lean more towards good and evil based on where they're raised Size:around as tall as humans but a bit more slender Speed:probably 30, but I might go with 35 depending on how it goes Darkvision:see tabaxi dark vision Minor feline agility: I might add in an ability like feline agility but not completely sure yet No claws Cat talents:profiency in stealth and perception Human talents:one free profiency Language:common+1
Any advice would be appreciated thanks in advance
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Marvarax andSora (Dragonborn) The retired fighter and WIP scholar - Glory
Brythel(Dwarf), The dwarf with a gun - survival at sea
Jaylin(Human), Paladin of Lathander's Ancient ways - The Seven Saints (Azura Claw)
Urselles(Goblin), Cleric of Eldath- The Wizard's challenge
Viclas Tyrin(Half Elf), Student of the Elven arts- Indrafatmoko's Defiance in Phlan
I'd say go with just 30 feet walk speed. Creating an alternative to feline agility is the only thing that Really needs to be figured out. Maybe instead of allowing the character to move at double speed again by spending one round not moving, instead once used they can't use it again for one hour. So it's mechanically quite similar, but a bit less versatile to show that they're not full tabaxi.
Since I've been try to dig up races and shit from older editions and port them in, like Lupin and such, I was thinking of doing the same later in my campaign. Admittedly I'm only adding it because I saw some mad bastard updated the crossbreeding chart from the Book of Erotic Fantasy for 5th ed races. Most of them that is, my players felt a little weirded out but they got the idea that's all I'm using and indent it to be for 1/2 races, natural enemies over both resources and multi part threats to survival. Dragons are still the biggest sluts/man whores since they can be with anything. While humanity now have to worry whether or not the any of the goblinoids reenact Goblin Slayer on top of the orcs going to pound town on a unsuspecting town but it does open the door for some other races to half breeds again. Such as half dwarves, the halfling mixes of harfoots, tallfellows and ?quarterling?(human X halfling). I even revived the 3.5 Silverbrow in my game, just now they have claws, fangs, scales that run down their backs and draconic looking eyes instead of just some silver hair.
Minor feline agility: when you take the dash action, you get another 10 feet of movement (total; this does not affect your non-dash movement that turn).
Honestly at this point you could just use Shifters. I've envisioned them in a nekomimi sort of way, before, but with a Na'vi twist—which is more or less how they look in the official art.

You could make it even easier and just let them take the dash action as a bonus action 1ce/Short Rest.

Chasing Hymnal - Tabaxi Bard - The Tale of the Pumpkin King

"Dovie'andi se tovya sagain."
You could make it even easier and just let them take the dash action as a bonus action 1ce/Short Rest.
