I looked at the FAQ but couldn't find an answer to this question: I wanted to create a race that has access to the warlock spell list as an innate ability, being able to choose one spell at levels 1,3,6,8,12,18, or something along those lines. However I can't seem to find an option that makes the spell slot option available at higher levels. How would I go about doing that?
*EDIT* Ok so I figured out how to give it to them at higher levels, but now it's doing a thing where during character creation, if I level my character up to max, it gives all the five options I want, but when I click on "Choose level 1 Option", it gives two options; when I choose one, and move to the next, it only has one option, then when I move to the next there are no options?? Under "Levels Where Options Available" I put "1,6,9,15,18". If I only add one option, the ability to access the Warlock spell list, would it not apply the picking from the spell list to each level instead of giving two options total? I am quite confused. Let me know if I need to clarify anything.
This forum post doesn't help me much. The specific question I have is unanswered there. I want one option feature to have multiple of the same option: I want, at level 3, to be able to choose three cantrips from the warlock spell list. I tried making it a granted feature (in which case there were 3 options, but you couldn't select anything from them), I tried making it an additional instead of Granted (in which case it didn't show up in the character builder at all), I tried making a single feature with three options available at level 3 (3,3,3; it made 3 option selection boxes but there was only one option available, and when it was chosen it disappeared). I have tried to do what is in the forum but to no avail. Is there something else I can try? I would post pictures but the page will not let me.
To do it with Options you would need to create 1 Option for every warlock cantrip individually. The reason you couldn’t select any of the Options the first time is because Granted Options only work if the player has chosen another Option from a different feature as a prerequisite.
Luckily, if all you want is for them to be able to choose three warlock cantrips, you don’t need Options at all. All you need is the Spells subform. Follow the directions in the Subclasses & Species FAQ #15 (same link as above). That aught to provide what you need.
Depends on the day. Some days only 1 or 2, other days as many as 10 or more. That doesn’t include anyone who reads my FAQ or one or more of my posts and finds their answers without my actually interacting with them like this. I have no way of tracking those numbers. Why do you ask?
I just find it cool that you go out of your way to help so many people, I think that the world needs more people like you, though to be honest it would probably be good if those other people helped with things more important than Dungeons and Dragons. Not you though, we need you here.

FYI: There’s a Homebrew forum for questions like this. In that forum you can find the following FAQ: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/131411-a-homebrewers-how-to-faq). If you reference the Subclasses & Species subsection, the #1 question is about Options, and the answer includes a complete walkthrough on how to properly set them up. If that doesn’t sort you out post again and I’ll try to help you.
