So in 3.5 there was a really cool gambling sub culture of dragons called Xorvintaal where they blessed humanoids to be their servants and bet them against each other in a DnD esque Cold War. So what ideas does anyone have to make this really fascinating concept something we can do in 5e?

I don’t understand the question. Y’just, y’know… do it. What parts of it are you asking for input on?

Uh... 3.5 is 2 editions behind 5e so a lot of rule changes? Also was thinking of doing a system like Acquistions franchise and maybe some player options

Uhhh… no 💩. The rules differences are irrelevant. I remember when 3.0 was released and I had to convert all my PCs over from 2e, and it was pretty much the same situation as now. Really not that difficult actually. You just take 5e dragons, have them give their servants 5e boons/gifts/blessings, and pit them against each other using the 5e rules. You do pretty much exactly what they did for 3.5, y’just, y’know, do it with the 5e stuff instead. I’m still not seeing the issue. What exactly are you asking?
