I am trying to create a feat that gives advantage against spells and magical effects. This option does not appear in the drop down menus in feat creation, however. I see advantage against spells, but not spells and magical effects. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Try Modifier Type > Advantage, Modifier Subtype > Saving Throws, Details > "against spells and magical effects".
