I think I am missing something...how does the +/- rating work in the Homebrews? What does it mean besides the obvious that a homebrew is liked if it has a lot of + and disliked if it has a lot of -?

D&D Beyond FoundersIt's exactly that - the higher the number, the more people have upvoted that homebrew.
If the homebrew has been downvoted more, the number will be lower.
Staff haven't revealed the precise mechanics behind the rating calculation.
