I am trying to finish off my Deathtouched Sorcerer Sub-class and I am having a spot of trouble making it to where a feature adds spells to the spell list without counting against the number of spells known and subsequently can be traded out with other spells (possibly higher than the initial spells that can be added). Ultimately, the spells that are added are up to the player on which ones they take, but I don't know how to allow this through the class feature.
The Sub-class that is currently published is incomplete in this way, Deathtouched is not complete with the spells added by, "Necrotic Affinity" Class feature gained at level 6.
I am currently working on it with version 2, but I'm stumped on this feature. Any help would be appreciated.
Under the feature, go to the "Spells" list and click on "Add Spell". In the little spell box, you will want to add all necromancy spells, all 36. Make sure "Consumes Spell Slot" is marked "Yes" and "Counts as Known Spell" is marked "No". If a player pick a spell they don't have slots for, it won't appear in their character sheet.
"The relevant equation is: Knowledge = power = energy = matter = mass; a good bookshop is just a genteel Black Hole that knows how to read." - Terry Pratchett
If anyone was watching this thread to see if Deathtouched Sorcerer is completed, I have completed Version 1...or technically 1.1 as it were. Thank you Astromancer, as that helped, but I can't help but think there is a more intuitive way to complete this without being shown the entire list in these homebrew subclasses. Maybe notes for the future?
Thanks,
-Meranis
