I'm hoping the collective DDB brain can help me out here :)
My PC has just acquired this:
Haug (Hill Rune). This rune’s magic bestows a resilience reminiscent of a hill giant. While wearing or carrying an object inscribed with this rune, you have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you have resistance against poison damage.
In addition, you can invoke the rune as a bonus action, gaining resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage for 1 minute. Once you invoke the rune, you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
I like to try and create things as best/accurately as I can in DDB, mainly because it's fun but also because I'm a bit of a nerd lol.
I created the rune itself with advantage on poison saving throws and resistance to being poisoned but I'm having some trouble with the temporary application of bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage for 1 minute. I've tried doing this by giving the rune 1 charge and adding a level 1 homebrew spell, which gives resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage for 1 minute. The idea being I hit the cast button which uses up the charge, which works fine but I don't see the resistances appear in the "Defences" box when it's cast. Can anyone suggest a way I can have something where I click the cast button, the defences appear in the box (to remind me I have them lol) then once they've expired, I can turn them off again?
Temporary effects like that are currently not supported. The current workaround is to attach those effects to a Magic Item that can be wielded/unwielded.

Thanks mate - I figured that was the case but was hoping there was a way of doing it that I was unaware of :)
Happy to help. Not yet at least, the new character sheet that just came out can support those effects unlike the old one, they just haven’t been implemented as of yet as far as I know. Who knows how soon that could change?
