Hello dear homebrewer, I was wondering if some of you expert has discovered or know a thread in which the new homebrew feature are displayed?
So far, I've noticed the limited use can be used on proficiency, and subclass feature can now replace class feature (so you could more or less make a whole new class like that btw). But what else is there to discover has new homebrewing modifier, option, etc.?
Can’t replace features on official subclasses without making a copy of the subclass.
You can technically break the builder. You can make a granted feature at a specific level and give it options. Then you can make another feature that “replaces” the granted one, and give it options, and set the options from the granted feature as the prerequisites for the replacement feature, and then go back and set the options from the replacement features as the prerequisites for the options for the granted feature.
You can homebrew optional class features for subclasses (not base classes yet), so you can have options that replace other options and stuff, which is pretty neat (although it requires making a homebrew copy of the whole subclass; you can't just create features that slot into the official subclasses). Since DDB are so behind on getting the beastmaster's Primal Companion feature implemented, I homebrewed it for the ranger in my game.

Feel free to check out my hombrew: Magic Items, Spells, Monsters, Species, Feats, Subclassses, and Backgrounds. More detail in my Homebrew Compendium.
If you have any comments, suggestions, or ways to improve my homebrew, tell me, I'm always looking to improve!

I’m still playing with it.

Is there any plans on being able to replace base features?
Sure... According to some statement made almost 4 years ago.
So... You know. No.
