Hey, want to randomly talk about the emotional weaknesses of our characters?
nox's weakness is anger, paranoia, overprotectiveness, and trust
e has a weakness in believing in herself
kalnor fears everything
shardia doesnt believe she's bad, but doesnt believe she's good enough, and is all around confused why she was chosen as a planeswalker
Sounds fun. Uhh Kite is naive and thinks everyone is nice and blames herself when it goes wrong I guess.
Atemos feels worthless and like a failure, and that all his 'friends' will betray him at some point.
Anne thinks she's amazing and better than everyone else.
Sulfur has problems connecting to people and is more concerned with his safety then what his weapon do.
Obadiah is highly impulsive and blames himself for nearly everything.
Esta thinks the best of everything and is emotionally immature.
Luke has a huge ego and never show how he really feels because he despises weakness.
Axiterounys only bullies to get what he wants.
Toto and Gran are dealing with a past they regret.
All my other characters are emotionally pretty much fine.
While Konyan tries to be a good and kind person, he does have a lot of flaws. He's terrible at dealing with loss or grief, whenever anything goes wrong, he blames himself, and he would do anything to protect the people he cares about. The combination of these second two traits is why he copes so badly when one of his friends dies.
Mithris' main flaw is that she's too nice. She's not willing to let someone die when she could have saved them. But this also means she would give up her life for someone she doesn't even know.
Heck, I should write longer paragraphs. Kite believes that it's her duty to protect everyone, and when she fails, she loathes herself. She's blind to authoritative control and easily picks the side of law in an argument. However, she thinks that there's also good in everyone, which can easily lead her to be blindsided by people or creatures who are inherently evil.
Atemos is kind of complicated I think. He's just as much animal as person, which leads him to his biggest problem(of many), which is instant gratification/instincts. He is completely and utterly instinctual. If his brain says to do something in that moment, he'll do it. If he's mad at someone, he'll yell at them. If he feels sad, he'll fall into a spiral of self loathing. He tries not to think about consequences and is also highly influenced by the people around him.
Eris: That's a lot of problems. She's definitely not sane, she's horrible at understanding people, and she's usually unwilling to admit that she's wrong.
vaelos is also overprotective of her friends, and can not cope with their deaths. she is also very annoying, and just weird.

Okay, time for another random question. How do you guys play your different characters with high intelligence?
I play Mithris' intelligence as her ability to problem solve. She's not infallible, and she knows almost nothing about how governments or economies work, but she's extremely good at solving puzzles, whether they're physical or mental. Sometimes it makes her seem like somewhat of a genius to others, but she's really just connecting different pieces of information to create a complete whole.
I play Konyan's intelligence as his ability to make leaps of logic. He's very knowledgable, but he can also make connections that others wouldn't. While he doesn't do this all the time, he's good at using the information he has and using it to learn even more. He's also good at using the different spells and resources that he has to their full potential, which is a very useful talent to have in a Guardian of Lesta.
I play Calius' intelligence mainly as his tactical knowledge and ability to predict his enemies almost flawlessly. There's a reason he's never truly lost to the Guardians- he always has a plan, and it's usually a good one. His immortal nature helps him take the long view, subtly manipulating events over hundreds or thousands of years to get the outcome he wants. He's also extremely good at coming up with plans- whether on the spot or in advance- that allow him to deceive his enemies or force every outcome into a victory for him. This is evidenced in the Battle of Lesta, where even "losing" gave him everything he had hoped to achieve, as well as the Battle of the Death Dells, which was used as a cover for the devils' invasion of Lesta. The plan he offered them, too, was one where the remaining Guardians had no choice but to go along with his plans.
Astara also has high intelligence, but she's often too emotionally distraught to use it. However, when she does, she can piece together different things to come up with a viable solution to the problems she faces. In addition, her lengthy existence has allowed her absorb a repertoire of knowledge.

Leander actually isn’t that bright, but he’s very good at certain things (high society, being charming, finance, some areas of academics).
Amber is very smart, but she mostly uses it to study magic. She’s very sheltered and has no clue about the real world, but she’s also paranoid that people are gonna take advantage of her, which is why she kind of latched on to Mabij.
Enethia's is in her magic, and in her ability to both create and create combos for spells.
Redd's comes from his extensive info on people, what makes them tick, and also his limitless catalog on them. Also, his planning when it comes to manipulation
Mabij's is in his ability to take a situation, and ignore the obvious solution, and think of other possibilities. He then takes everything he's came up with, and eliminates the impossible. This gives him advantages in court. On defense, he uses it to show how it could be someone else. While prosecuting, he uses it as a way to come up with blockage to the defense argument. If he's 3 steps ahead of the defense, he can come up with reasons theyre wrong, and not be surprised by the path their logic takes

Atemos has the highest intelligence out of my characters, but he's more like Yeenoghu than he is Atemos. He's more of a 'smart in a dumb way' or just 'dumb in a dumb way' kind of character.
Despite his savage nature, Yeenoghu was not stupid, being capable of subtlety and trickery, but merely choosing not to use it in most circumstances
If I were to describe Atemos as intelligent, I'd say that his intelligence comes from his complete reliance on instinct and overall persistence. He can commit pretty well, but his chaoticness just leaves him all over the place to the point where he can't really focus well. And after the BDD, Atemos gave up on thinking and decided that he just wanted to do what he wanted to do without caring.
The rest of my characters have an INT of 11, which is a bit smarter than a commoner. Anne strategizes well, but has trouble with comprehending the big picture.

Obadiah is highly intelligent. He can see many possible outcomes to events and problems, and he is a genius when it comes to designing and building weapons and combat-focused items. However, his lack of common sense means he will focus on the negative outcomes, and prepare for them only - not always a bad thing, but it also means he won’t often approach people at all. He is prone to frustrated outbursts if things don’t go well with his invention, as he remembers how easy it was when enslaved by Mephistopheles. In actual battle, Obadiah is focused and calm, unless in severe circumstances, in which case he tends to fly off the handle - again, lack of common sense, which is also shown in his lack of willingness to retreat from a battle.
Esta has an intelligence of ten. There isn’t really much else to say.
The Clicker is my most intelligent character. They assess everything, constantly, so it has become habit for them, and they are an almost unparalleled doctor/surgeon. It has got to the point where the Clicker is far more intelligent than I could possibly be - which sometimes makes RP difficult. They don’t realise the value of secrets, however - most knowledge was easy to access for them, so it never percolated to hide their knowledge from others.

Rainbow is [REDACTED].
I can’t remember what’s supposed to go here.
Eris has a decent intelligence score, but she's really stupid. A lot of what she knows is random, and she doesn't really understand a lot of things unless understanding something annoys or embarrasses someone.
