Can I call dibs on Kit Fisto, :D (see what I did there?) though there's that saying about hokey religions and ancient weapons, will there be a scum and villainy faction in the cult?  

Or maybe The Bendu.  or the Father-Daughter-Son triad if we were to go in the opposite direction from the profane Star Wars set.

 Actually, if you look at their powers, a lot of them are enhanced versions of Jedi and Sith abilities.

I think the Bendu, and definitely the Father-Son-Daughter triad would likely consider their powers "progenitive" from which the Jedi/Sith derive their own.  I'm not done with it (just don't have a lot of time for video games) but I like how Jedi: Fallen Order is showing how other cultures, like the Zeffo, can have a very different relationship with the Force (Nightsisters were cool in that regard too, and I like how they're mythology is expanded abit in Fallen Order as well ... but that's as far as I've got, so NO SPOILERS).

But the question is, is this cult open to the profane side of Star Wars (the rogues, scum and villainy, or at least the "simple people trying to make their way in the galaxy") or do you have to be a Force user or even more focused, do you have to be Jedi?

 My personal favorite is the Chiss, they have people called sky-walkers who navigate for them in hyperspace by touching the force. Chiss technology isn't as advanced as "lesser space" (the galaxy).

The Chiss as in Thrawn Chiss?  I did not know that.  It's ... interesting, though makes you wonder why Thrawn underestimated Ezra at the end of Rebels.  Given how they went out, someone like Thrawn should have seen that coming.  Or maybe he assumed his people's Force embrace of hyperspace was something unique to their understanding of the Force and human able to reach out into the space lanes for hyperspace enabled life forms to assist was unassailable.  I still find the finale an insult to Thrawn's intelligence. 

I haven't read any of the new canon novels, though I like Timothy Zahn generally.  Been meaning to check them out some day but I'd say my Star Wars time is more occupied with the animation, FFG's TTRPG and comics occasionally.  Only so much bandwidth.  

Anyone think they're going to do Bane/Fett duel for real in Bad Batch (not the Hunter/Bane dual which folks say reference it)?
