A much older wizened looking man with a long white beard and a bandage over his eyes enters the Tavern. He's wearing grey robes and carries an elegant looking halberd, also donning a well furnished and taken care of rice-hat that casts a shadow across his wrinkled yet pleasant face. He hums a happy tune as he slowly enters the building, not heeding to the surrounding chaos around him. When he finds a seat, he lays back and lets out a relaxed sigh of relief- he had been traveling for quite some time now and had been more than happy to take a quick rest. Besides! Somebody here needed his help- the Gods had told him so and he felt the way the Nature of the wood of this old building creaked for him to find his new student and apprentice.
The man was patient, however, and he was willing to wait for his student to come to him. He had done much work trying to get to this place, so it was his turn to rest and his apprentice's turn to find their master. Fate beckoned that soul forward and the man knew exactly who it was.
"It's a small world after all...It's a small world after all..." Sung the great Sensei quietly and peacefully to himself.
Mud (2'10 brown kobold in tight leather armor cut off at the knees, sitting on his cloak on a barstool at the bar) looks curiously at the man, but shrugs and continues sipping his brandy.
Curiosity taking over him, Mud sighed and got a glass of water, taking it over to the old man. "Here, you look thirsty."
"I'm afraid I do not look, little friend." The Sensei joked. "But thank you. May the winds carry you across the highest of mountains."

"I prefer to stay low, but thank you. What is your name?"
*Alignment is chaotic good, saw you mention that to Alaric.*
"Hm, it is a common courtesy to state your name before asking for another's." The Sensei noted.
*Thanks!*
"Where I come from, it doesn't matter who says their name first, as long as they both say their names, and they are both honest. I'm Mud."
"Oh, what an interesting name! I am Toyokazu, Mister Mud, the White Horned Sage." Toyokazu chuckled. "What a curious name indeed...Is it because of your physical or mental appearance?"
"A bit of both, I suppose. To-yo-ka-zu? That's an interesting name." Mud sat down next to him.

A voiceless telepathy enters their mind (Hello and welcome! Who are you?)
*If it's voiceless...he wouldn't hear it lol. But I think I know what you're trying to say...*
The Sensei smiled warmly as the voice spoke to him, I am a teacher. I am looking for my student.
(Who may that be?)
I am to find out soon enough...Would you mind describing to me the other patrons of this fine establishment. I am a blind man, and cannot see.
(Currently, I see a brown kobold, an undead, and a blonde elf nearish to you)
And what about yourself? Who is currently speaking to me? It is looked to with disdain to ask for one's name without giving your own first.
(Im called Tohrihpes.)
Greeting, Tohrihpes. I am Toyokazu, Sensei of the Great Valley Winds.
Nice to meet you. You came to find a student you dont know?

Caleb is unconcious on the ground, the shadowy beings circling him.
A wall of force appears around Caleb
The shadow things look at it. Some of the ones that ended up inside ignore it, while the rest place a hand on its surface
*Shed make it a size so none are inside. Its UP TO 10 ft radius. Its also invisible*
*Creatures in its space when it gets created are pushed to either side of the wall. I flipped a coin. And you can still touch something invisible*
*The spell says E gets to choose what side of the wall they end up on.*
*Oh, never mind then.*
The shadow creatures surround the wall, but are unable to get inside
(I suggest you all leave. Now)
The procedure is ready

Azrail sits next to them
*What's his alignment? The Sensei can tell.*
The old man nods to the sudden company and continues humming. After a while of awkwardness, the Sensei turns his head in Azrail's direction. "If you wish to speak, by all means- speak! It is dreadfully awkward for me to feel you staring at me as if waiting for something grand to happen before you. If you have no business with me, I suggest you stare elsewhere. It is rude, you know."
*True neutral. or CN if i feel chaotic*
"For a blind man, you're rather perceptive." Azrail smiles at him
"I do not see what you see- for I see truth." The Sensei bowed his head in a respectful nod. "Where do you hail from, stranger?"
"The truth.... right," Azrail returns the nod, "I come from many places. If i have to claim a place of origin, its a random city back south"
"I have never heard of Backsouth. Would you like to enlighten me further?" The Sensei's expression changed to something much more thoughtful and content. He did want to learn more about this elf that sat next to him- maybe it was to be his student. He needed to seek understand- further understanding of who he was dealing with. "My name, young lad, is Toyokazu. Master of Mountaintops and Stormherald of the Reech."
"Stormherald, huh?"He nods, drinking some ale, "Azrail the scapegoat, at your service. I take the blame for cutting off an angels wings"
"Ah, an escape artist. I have met my fair share of Shadowmen. Did you, indeed, cut off the angel's wings? Or is it simply a false claim set upon your head for others to shame you for?"
"Both. I did it, but that was a different person. I'm simply what they became."
"Then do not hold yourself accountable for the mistakes you have gone past. The past is in the past, dear stranger. You have undergone a rebirth- and you understand that you are no longer who you once were. So choose to live on this new path without gazing back at the shadow you cast. Look only forward and press forward, endure to the end!" Toyokazu outstretched an old an wrinkled hand, however, it was not frail but firm and sturdy. It did not shake as he reached forward and tapped Azrail on the forehead- then the Sensei smiled. Like a gong being hammered by a half-orc, he could hear the soul of Azrail- a telltale visage of everything that the soul had gone through raced through Toyokazu's mind. The pain, suffering, sorrow, glory, redemption, joy, and now solace.
"You have the heart of a lion, Azrail. Use it."
