 Cloud just looks disappointed.

 Cloud takes the book, flips it, and hands it back.

He smiles and nods thank you

 Cloud walks over to the other side of the table and pulls up a chair, leaning the chair back on the back two legs as they sit in it, putting one leg over the other, and summons a knife made of ice, using it to pick at their nails.

 Nathan watches. His blue eyes gleam ?'we haven't gotten to know each other well, you already know I'm Nathan, I'm a guy, I go by he/they. " he said

 Cloud nods. "Why do you say your gender?"

 "because some people think I look female" he said gesturing to his face "plus calicos are known to be female"

 "I don't think you look female." Cloud de-summons the ice knife and lets the chair down. 

 "I don't know whether to take that as a compliment or insult"

 "Neither, it is merely a statement of fact. I assume you can't tell my gender." Cloud locks their fingers together and rests their chin on them.

 He nods "you look bothish"

 Cloud nods. "I get that a lot. Can you guess my gender?"

Issac was in the main room, he was working on what looked like a solid block of metal. His sleeves were rolled up, it was clear that deep green crystals were growing from his arms skin. He had a roll of carving tools next to him while he was working as well as his book. 

Allison was outside past the barrier enjoying the snow, she wore a pale blue hoodie and black leggings and earmuffs that looks liked little bears on her ears. She was smiling and trying to catch snowflakes like a little Child,

 Krathian watched her from inside, smiling. He still had a headache but was otherwise recovered from his episode. He then looked around at the patrons of the Tavern, scrutinizing each, and writing notes in his journal.

 Allison comes back inside, she was cold as heckers. She took off her coat and looked around for Krathian

 He waves, a pencil stuck behind each ear, hands smeared with charcoal. “You looked like you were having fun.” He smiles and kisses her on the forehead. “Can I buy you some cocoa?”

 "sure! Also I found this for you!" She said and dug around in her coat pocket and pulled out a small plastic yellow duck charm. It was made of yellow and orange resin with little black eyes. She gave to him and smiled "found it in the snow!"

 Cloud walks over and flips the book for him. "You'll hurt your eyes if you try to read it like that."
