Tell me who they are and their skills and I'll pick my opponent.
I’m a bard.. I make poisons. Quarrel over there is skilled at curses and blood magic, and can shapeshift. Scarlet channels a bear spirit.. and Cleave is a powerful druid. Uses necromancy.
Blood magic? He paused. I challenge Quarrel.
Quarrel looks up and at Ghost. Sure?

Eventually, they come to one of the doors, which Iralias opens, revealing a surprisingly beautiful room. It doesn't look like Raxern would expect. Instead, what appear to be several trees dot the room, with the ceiling appearing to be their branches, and sunlight streaming in through the small gaps. Even the furniture is similar, seeming to be made from branches and leaves, the exception being the mattress for the bed. A beautiful brick fireplace is center of the walls opposite the bed, with several chairs and a coffee table set in front of it. Iralias walks over to one of the chairs, slinging the guitar off his back as he goes. "Close the door behind you, my friend." He calls. Hanging from one of the branches, Raxern can see Orchid, Iralias' Faerie Dragon Companion, grinning friendlily at him.
"what, the. . ." He closes the door but still looks around, before catching orchid's gaze.
Iralias laughs. "You good, my friend?"
"I'd ask how did you put a forest in a room, but magic is nuts so." He sits down, breaking eye contact with Orchid.

He chuckles. "Indeed. It's actually mainly illusions, albeit solid ones."

"Huh, so are we good now?"
He smiles. "Yes. The acoustics in here are better, and I can actually hear you clearly."
"Yes of course, I'm not going to read it & then not use anything with the knowledge I just got."
They smile and hug him. "Your the best Raxern.
He hugs back, "thank you."
They let go after a while. "So, what now?"
*sorry for the long replies, I didn't get any for a while so I just hopped off to wait, but kind of a problem with doing that.*
"You said you could teach common script right?"
"Sure! We can do that. What scripts do you know?"
"Abyssal & Infernal."
"Mind writing some sentences for me in each?"
He nods, "Could I get stuff to write it with please?"
They produce some paper and a pen
"Thank you." He writes 'Hello there, I'm Rax.' in both in Infernal & Abysssal, both of which with pretty messy handwriting. In Abyssal it's only one letter that's wrong, but in Infernal are about 6.
*Which is strange since both abyssal and infernal use the same writing system, like how German and English use the Latin alphabet*
"Good. Now common uses what is called an alphabet, which means that each symbol stands for one sound. This includes vowels and consonants. Understand?"
