A young girl walks into the tavern. She has a narrow face, sharp features, and wide blue eyes that are partially obscured by her long, white hair. She wears a plain black dress, and a silver necklace hangs around her throat, a pretty blue stone inlaid into the metal right above her heart.
Looking over is a man with solid silver eyes, a tail, and purple hair. He wears dark armor, with a shield that has the symbol of a skeletal arm with a blade. If not for the aforementioned abnormalities, this hornless tiefling could likely pass for human
"Who... who are you?" the girl asks quietly, her voice hardly a whisper, yet somehow perfectly audible even as far away as he is. Though she stutters and seems uncertain, there's a certain steel in her words that makes it clear she's been through many things.
"... Simply an observing patron in this place youve come to... You may call me Tabanvae." As he observes her, his expression seems... Broken, almost.
"I guess... I guess it's nice to meet you. I'm..."
"Um... If you want me to introduce myself, I'm Asherah, but you may call me Ash... Am I pushing?"
"Ash... that's a pretty name." She tilts her head. "What do you mean... pushing?"
"Asking for something you don't feel sharing... You learn to be polite in hell." She says, not knowing if they should ask for the name a second time
"Sharing what? Did I do something wrong?"
"Personally information and you didn't do anything wrong... Do you feel okay sharing your name?"
The girl nods. "Why would I say it if I didn't?"
"I didn't hear it, so I thought you would of been too shy to share it... Mind if you say it again?"
"Oh... I guess I just keep talking too quietly... My name is..."
"So is it pronounced...? Like that?"
"You didn't say anything... Or maybe I just didn't hear you, that time?"
"It appears neither of us can hear it." She says, holding back a laugh. "Want to write it down?"
"Okay..."
They provide some paper and pen. "Do your magic."
She draws a sunset- or sunrise, it's impossible to tell- over a hill that's ringed by a small brook. The drawing is extremely good, especially for someone of her age. But there's no name- not even a single letter.
"Um... Mind explaining this drawing? Is your name the word for sunrise/set in your native tongue?"
"No... it's... right there... why can't you see it? Am I... going insane?"
"No you aren't... um... Mind if we give you a nickname in the meantime? Or maybe more the discussion to something else? I don't want to upset you." She says, feeling guilty

She narrows her eyes. "What are you talking about, mister? I said my name... didn't I?"
"I.. Didnt hear it. I apologize..."
"Oh... sorry..." She raises her voice a little bit. "My name is..."
"Perhaps... You could spell it or write it?"
She seems a bit more suspicious, now, but not hostile. "It isn't that difficult to pronounce... I don't think. Maybe it is..."
"I apologize.. It may just be an issue with my hearing. Its... Often hard to keep the mind on track as it should be..."
"Oh... I can understand that." Her tone grows more empathetic. "It's spelled... ...Got it?"
He looks down "Im afraid.... I may be more jumbled than I thought before... Im not sure why my hearing just seems to cut out currently.... I apologize..."
She curls up, looking like she's almost about to cry. "It's not you... no one can hear my name..."
"No one...?" He seems to think some moments "Where... Do you come from? What things have you interacted with recently?"
"Oh... I'm from... And I before I came here... I..." She sinks to her eyes, fighting her hardest to hold back tears. "I... I.............."
"... Worry not... Theres no need to answer.... I... Have some suspicions.... Just try to breathe, for now. Can you do that?" He sits near her, his broken.eyes changing, looking into hers empathetically and focusing
"But I did answer... I did... WHY CAN'T YOU HEAR!" She breaks down into sobbing, but quickly wipes away the tears and stands. She slowly breathes in and out, trying her best to calm herself.
"I believe something.... Or someone is blocking your responses..."
"Blocking them how?"

*Hello human friends. I am.here to, as humans say, have a good time*
Lore is inside. She is sitting by the woodstove in the library, weaving while listening to the band okay in the room over. She is weaving what looks like a tapestry of an age long forgotten. A person stands next to her. It looks like a centaur made of all metal, like gorgon almost. The upper body was plated in blue-silver metals with a bucket-helm over its face, its features hidden from sight. Its horse like lower body looks like it is played in armor as well. It holds a large book with pressed metal pages in one hand, reading words to her in a dilect long forgotten. Lore repeats the phrases back to it as it nods it head in approval.
Xan is outside. He was in a bad mood and everyone was going to hear about it. The incubus stares at a tree before touching it and setting it able with purple-blue fire. He stuffs his hands in his hoodies pocket while staring at it with a grin on his face.
Cold was inside. He was sitting on the couch with his hairless cat friend,.letting it and the walking to it. He had commissioned someone to make a small animal sweater for his new friend. It currently was laying on his head like a hairless toupe.
Raphael walks over, curious to what Lore is doing. *Raphael can understand all languages FYI*
Xan gets a bucket of water dumped on them
Gwen walks over, curious at who the two are

Hi everyone! I'm working up the will to finalize my signature, so... I guess this will be the signature for now
A young girl walks into the tavern. She has a narrow face, sharp features, and wide blue eyes that are partially obscured by her long, white hair. She wears a plain black dress, and a silver necklace hangs around her throat, a pretty blue stone inlaid into the metal right above her heart.
A beautiful female tiefling with large wings sits on the roof. She has dark reddish-purple skin with dark purple hair and magenta-purple and black horns, and wears ornate, infernal robes, with a pair of wicked, mismatched daggers on her belt, a light crossbow on her back, and a rod tipped with an infernal gemstone in her hand. She smiles at the newcomer, and waves slightly.
The girl stares up at her, her eyes widening a bit. "Hello... does everyone here have horns?"
She chuckles. "Only my siblings, and a few others." She flaps her wings, and lands down next to her. "I'm Aricyra. Who are you?"
The girl jumps back a bit in surprise. "Oh... I was just asking because everyone I've seen here has horns. My name is..."
Aricyra cocks her head. "Your name is what, dear?" She asks gently, honestly a bit confused.
She looks a bit upset. "No one seems to be able to hear my name... Is something wrong with me?"
Aricyra shrugs. Try thinking it, dear. I can communicate telepathically, so maybe you can tell me this way.
"Ah! Are you... in my head?" She looks around frantically.
She chuckles. "I can only speak with you that way, and occasionally detect some of your surface thoughts, but usually only the very...loud ones. Don't worry, I don't do that without anyone's permission." So, try thinking your name, dear. If that doesn't work, you can right it down.
"Oh... Okay..." My name is... There is nothing in your head. There is nothing in your head. There is nothing in your head there is nothing in your head there is nothing in your head THERE IS NOTHING IN YOUR HEAD.
Aricyra physically recoils, holding her head, wincing. "That...hurt..."
"I feel... weird... are you okay? I didn't hurt you... did I?" She gets the feeling that saying yes will break the girl's heart.
"It definitely wasn't you...there was something...else...in your mind..." She blinks a couple times, and replays what happened from her point of view in the girl's mind, toning down the intensity a little.
Marlae walks over to the upset child possibly named Dawn. "Is something wrong?"
"Oh... you don't have horns or a tail... who are you?"
"Marlae. Who are you?"
"My name... people keep saying that they can't hear my name."
