Three of the six turn a corner, unbloodied. More corpses lie ahead, but they have seen no battle.
Miles away, the other three find a group of injured soldiers just as they finish a minotaur. These three, too, are unwounded.
In flickering torchlight, both groups seemed annoyed. All of the six have yet to face an enemy after weeks of battle. Then the tunnels shake. Dust blows both torches out, and everything goes dark.
