Three wait on a wagon in the night. Before them is a cloud of settling dust that hangs over newly fallen rock. The cliff they sit by has fallen, and they have lost three of their number. Two humans and the half orc are not there. The remaining human, the female, is pale, and one of her feet is nearly gone. The others are injured too, and they are in no shape to deal with the demon that brought the cliffside upon them. They can only wait.
It is morning now, and the dwarf and the half-elf are alone. The army is turning around, defeated, and they are going home.
