 "Our world survived a cataclysmic battle between gods at one point. It spilled over into entire armies, with one side marshalling all the fiends and elementals under his banner, and the other leading the dragons. That war took place more than ten thousand years ago though, and our world is still feeling its effects. A once lush and vast grassland got turned into the now-inhospitable Sea of Shards, a vast desert dominated by crystalline towers formed by the intense heat and winds."

 "I can understand that. Only a hundred and six years ago, my world was devastated when a rift opened to Abyss. The Forest of Mists was corrupted into the malevolent Forest of Shadow, and a portion of the Gilded Plain was devastated, becoming the barren Blood Plain. The gods sacrificed themselves to drive the demons back to the Abyss and seal them there forever, but lingered shards of their baleful presence still remain. I help fight back some of them, when they get too aggressive."

 "The dragons and Stargazer, the Creator Deity, eventually ended up winning, despite it being Hahtie, his dark side, who he was fighting against. With his victory, he sealed all the leaders of Hahtie's forces into the Abyss, under the watchful gaze of a creature only known as Oblivion's Lantern, which was specifically created to be the jailor of creatures such as Gelmion, Hahtie's general and leader of the combined fiendish armies. Even with that, demons and devils do show up every now and then, and people like my brother's order are there to fight them."

 *Stargazer vs. Hat tie! The ultimate battle. No offense meant, by the way.*

"That's very interesting. My world is still healing from the Demon War, but I have faith it will get better. People are already taking action against the selfishness and cruelty that came in the wake of the war."

 *None taken, although Hahtie (pronounced Hah-tee-AY) is derived from Hate. Also, this is all from my Homebrew Campaign Setting, and I have most of this lore in a Word Doc I could send you on Discord if you're interested. Maybe you an help me come up with a name for the entire world, lol*

"Indeed. The Sea of Shards isn't the only area that was affected by the magic and devastation caused by the war, but it was the largest and most obvious, as it was the place of the final battle of the war."

 *Neat. And yeah, sure. I would do that, too, but mine is over 100 pages long.*

 *Sogel is in like 12 docs of varying length*

 *This is still in its infancy, lol. Only about 7 pages I think, but that's pretty much just the Creation of the world, lol*

"For millennia, yes. The fiendish, elemental and draconic energies that came from the battle are still powering the changes in the Sea of Shards, and the changes probably won't fade there for millennia to come."

 *Cool! I've had mine for around a year, and I'm midway through running a full IRL campaign in it.*
