"These are far stronger than those guard drakes, as I believe they are called. These specific two drake types I had to deal with, the Hellfire and Darkfrost Drakes, came about during the Creation War, when the magical energies flying everywhere, including the power to create new life, mingled with the blood of fallen dragons and fiends. Out of those pools arose these drakes, and they are only slightly less intelligent than you or I, but they have all the cunning and maliciousness of the fiends whose blood courses through their veins. There's no more reasoning with them than there is with any of the Tanar'ri."

"I know some people who are demons. But I've never heard of those drakes."

"They are unique to my world, as far as I know, as no other world has had a war of the magnitude of the Creation War. Dragons and some of the goodly humanoid races against the elementals and fiends. Throw gods battling in on top of that, and you can see how the inadvertent creation of something like the Hellfire and Darkfrost Drakes was possible."

"Many creatures were created during the Dragon Wars, by both sides. In a war between powerful beings, they usually seem to create weaker allies. Entire species, even."

"Hmmm..., Interesting. Every war has its side effects. But the fiendish drakes were not created intentionally. They were an accident.

"How?"

"What happens when the raw creation magic of gods mixes with the blood and dead bodies of dragons and fiends? You get whole new species, in this case, the Hellfire and Darkfrost Drakes. The elemental drakes came from a similar combination, but with the residual energies of vanquished elementals instead of the remains of fallen fiends."

"Wouldn't the gods have been able to predict that?"

"They may have, but who knows the minds of the gods." Phantom laughs. "Besides, many of the gods in other worlds aren't all-knowing. Who's to say that the ones in my world are any different?"

"They weren't omnipotent, from what I've read. But the gods of Borrelia had a greater understanding of the world and how it worked than any other living being. They probably could have figured out what would happen if those substances mixed."

"Indeed." Phantom shrugs his shoulders. "Who knows the minds of the gods though. They may have foreseen it and not cared, or they may have not foreseen it at all."

"Perhaps. From what I've heard, Saevaran was always open when speaking to his children. Even I heard him, once."

"That is a unique gift. Not many can claim to have heard the voice of the god they serve. Stargazer, the creator of the world, first god, and first god of the dragons, does occasionally speak to us dragons on my world, although it is rare, and only in times of great trouble."

"Saevaran would speak to each of us, once we gained our color. He granted us our epithets. Now, the few dragons that are still born are forced to name themselves."

"Your world is far different from mine then. Each dragon's color, for those that are metallic, chromatic, or gem, is determined when the egg was laid by the color of the parents. Names are rarely given by Stargazer, or one of the other three draconic deities: Bahamut, Tiamat, or Sardior. Otherwise, we are usually named by our parents."

"Our names are chosen by our parents. But our titles were given by Saevaran himself."

"Interesting. Titles are usually self-given, for those who actually wish to claim them, that is, but rarely they are given out by one of the four deities for an outstanding deed done."

"In Borrelia, all dragons have a title. It's a part of who we are."

"They're not very common, and they're really only stronger guard dogs."

"These are far stronger than those guard drakes, as I believe they are called. These specific two drake types I had to deal with, the Hellfire and Darkfrost Drakes, came about during the Creation War, when the magical energies flying everywhere, including the power to create new life, mingled with the blood of fallen dragons and fiends. Out of those pools arose these drakes, and they are only slightly less intelligent than you or I, but they have all the cunning and maliciousness of the fiends whose blood courses through their veins. There's no more reasoning with them than there is with any of the Tanar'ri."

"I know some people who are demons. But I've never heard of those drakes."

"They are unique to my world, as far as I know, as no other world has had a war of the magnitude of the Creation War. Dragons and some of the goodly humanoid races against the elementals and fiends. Throw gods battling in on top of that, and you can see how the inadvertent creation of something like the Hellfire and Darkfrost Drakes was possible."

"Many creatures were created during the Dragon Wars, by both sides. In a war between powerful beings, they usually seem to create weaker allies. Entire species, even."

"Hmmm..., Interesting. Every war has its side effects. But the fiendish drakes were not created intentionally. They were an accident.

"What happens when the raw creation magic of gods mixes with the blood and dead bodies of dragons and fiends? You get whole new species, in this case, the Hellfire and Darkfrost Drakes. The elemental drakes came from a similar combination, but with the residual energies of vanquished elementals instead of the remains of fallen fiends."

"Wouldn't the gods have been able to predict that?"

"They may have, but who knows the minds of the gods." Phantom laughs. "Besides, many of the gods in other worlds aren't all-knowing. Who's to say that the ones in my world are any different?"

"They weren't omnipotent, from what I've read. But the gods of Borrelia had a greater understanding of the world and how it worked than any other living being. They probably could have figured out what would happen if those substances mixed."

"Indeed." Phantom shrugs his shoulders. "Who knows the minds of the gods though. They may have foreseen it and not cared, or they may have not foreseen it at all."

"Perhaps. From what I've heard, Saevaran was always open when speaking to his children. Even I heard him, once."

"That is a unique gift. Not many can claim to have heard the voice of the god they serve. Stargazer, the creator of the world, first god, and first god of the dragons, does occasionally speak to us dragons on my world, although it is rare, and only in times of great trouble."

"Saevaran would speak to each of us, once we gained our color. He granted us our epithets. Now, the few dragons that are still born are forced to name themselves."

"Your world is far different from mine then. Each dragon's color, for those that are metallic, chromatic, or gem, is determined when the egg was laid by the color of the parents. Names are rarely given by Stargazer, or one of the other three draconic deities: Bahamut, Tiamat, or Sardior. Otherwise, we are usually named by our parents."

"Our names are chosen by our parents. But our titles were given by Saevaran himself."

"Interesting. Titles are usually self-given, for those who actually wish to claim them, that is, but rarely they are given out by one of the four deities for an outstanding deed done."

"In Borrelia, all dragons have a title. It's a part of who we are."

"Hmmm..." Phantom seems to ponder this for a bit. "Interesting. Your world is much different than mine it seems."

Mithris nods. "It seems that way."

Phantom grows quiet for a while. "I would enjoy traveling your world at some point. With how different it is from mine, it should prove quite the adventure."

"I would enjoy showing it to you."

"I may have to take you up on it there then later." Phantom nods politely to Mithris with that. "It's been a pleasure, but I should probably be exploring this new world and meeting the rest of the people here. I'll be seeing you around Mithris."

An adult silver dragon glides over head past the Tavern towards the iron wastes. It crashes into the earth upon landing and it doesn't seem to be moving after the impact.

Kalnor, concerned, is going to run over quickly as he can "A-are you ok?!"

The dragon's eyes are closed and it's breathing is hard and sharp.

He seems extremely worried, now, trying to push the dragon into the blessing, however hes a commoner with 10 str

The dragon slowly opens it's eyes and winces in pain as it cranes it's neck to see what's bothering it.

He looks up to their eyes, clearly worried "Y-you need to get closer to that tavern! As.. As quick as you can!"

"I think...I think I need...some rest..." The dragon drops her head and closes her eyes again.

"Please... Move closer first. You cant be hurt anymore closer to that tavern"

"Maybe later..." The dragon mutters.

He sighs "F-fine... Ill... Ill try my best to watch you while you rest..."

"I appreciate the sentiment..." The dragon smiled weakly. "But I'll...I'll be alright." She tried curling up into a more comfortable position.

Kharrashim runs over. "HOLY- You're a dragon right!!!? Oh my gosh, are you hurt?" He turns to Kalnor. "What happened?"

"She... She crashed... L-let her rest... But itd be nice if you could help keep watch"

"You don't...don't have to do that..." The silver dragon mumbles. "I'll be fine..."

"... We just want to make sure you will be"

"I'd be more worried about yourselves. The people who were hunting me...they really didn't like the stunt I pulled..."

"... What stunt?"

"I was..." The dragon heaves and coughs. "Sorry about that...I was infiltrating a Drow city as a House Captain...when they found out...they really didn't want me around anymore..." The dragon chuckles, which quickly turns into a painful sounding cough.

"... You really need to get to safety, then. Can you shapeshift now? Youll be safe inside..."

"Yes. I could try that..." The silver dragon's form shifts into that of a beautiful female Drow clad in black armor. However, she's still wounded.

He offers an arm "Lean on me. Ill help you inside"

She nods her head and does so, trying to slow her breathing.

He takes as much weight off of her as he can, taking her inside

Phantomizakell shifts back into his moon elf form and runs over. "Here, let me help." His hands start glowing, and waves of healing energy flow over her. (7th level heal)

Kalnor nods to him "Thank you.... Who exactly are you?"

"The name's Phantomizakell, but call me Phantom if that's easier to remember and say. I'm a warrior cleric of Vatdarr and Bahamut." He looks back over to the silver dragon-turned Drow. "What happened? Those are some nasty wounds you're carrying."

"One of them was a singer named Alistray, and the other one was a girl named Asari."

"And... Were they feom Lyamsu? I doubt it for the singer..."

"I don't know. What was so bad about where you're from?"

"... You know how Sogel has 2 parts, right?"

"The mainland and the Far Seas?"

She nods "And... Each thinks the other a myth. I originally came from the mainland, until my father sent me sailing..."

"Oh. I've never been to the Far Seas."

"... Keep it that way. When I arrived there.... I was soon sent to the horrid Lyamsu... Its where they put those they deem 'insane'. Most just being those claiming to be from the mainland"

"That's terrible."

She nods "Full of aggressive creatures, and 'tests'"

"Tests?"

She nods "Tests of sanity. They put the people through deadly trials of body and mind... Succeed, and they say they need more testing"

"That's horrible."

"... It can be... Thats what the oblex was. Another 'test'"

"I want to go there and fix things, sometime. But I don't know of any way to get there."

"... Dont try. Youll just be tested, too. Its easy to get there, though. Start in Sogel, sail a random direction. The hard part is getting back out. Ive been trapped 12 years."

"I have runics."

"... They have a high chance of failure. My crew all had one... Of the 30 of us, 1 actually teleported"

"What about sailing or flying?"

"They're not very common, and they're really only stronger guard dogs."

"These are far stronger than those guard drakes, as I believe they are called. These specific two drake types I had to deal with, the Hellfire and Darkfrost Drakes, came about during the Creation War, when the magical energies flying everywhere, including the power to create new life, mingled with the blood of fallen dragons and fiends. Out of those pools arose these drakes, and they are only slightly less intelligent than you or I, but they have all the cunning and maliciousness of the fiends whose blood courses through their veins. There's no more reasoning with them than there is with any of the Tanar'ri."

"I know some people who are demons. But I've never heard of those drakes."

"They are unique to my world, as far as I know, as no other world has had a war of the magnitude of the Creation War. Dragons and some of the goodly humanoid races against the elementals and fiends. Throw gods battling in on top of that, and you can see how the inadvertent creation of something like the Hellfire and Darkfrost Drakes was possible."

"Many creatures were created during the Dragon Wars, by both sides. In a war between powerful beings, they usually seem to create weaker allies. Entire species, even."

"Hmmm..., Interesting. Every war has its side effects. But the fiendish drakes were not created intentionally. They were an accident.

"How?"

"What happens when the raw creation magic of gods mixes with the blood and dead bodies of dragons and fiends? You get whole new species, in this case, the Hellfire and Darkfrost Drakes. The elemental drakes came from a similar combination, but with the residual energies of vanquished elementals instead of the remains of fallen fiends."

"Wouldn't the gods have been able to predict that?"

"They may have, but who knows the minds of the gods." Phantom laughs. "Besides, many of the gods in other worlds aren't all-knowing. Who's to say that the ones in my world are any different?"

"They weren't omnipotent, from what I've read. But the gods of Borrelia had a greater understanding of the world and how it worked than any other living being. They probably could have figured out what would happen if those substances mixed."

"Indeed." Phantom shrugs his shoulders. "Who knows the minds of the gods though. They may have foreseen it and not cared, or they may have not foreseen it at all."

"Perhaps. From what I've heard, Saevaran was always open when speaking to his children. Even I heard him, once."

"That is a unique gift. Not many can claim to have heard the voice of the god they serve. Stargazer, the creator of the world, first god, and first god of the dragons, does occasionally speak to us dragons on my world, although it is rare, and only in times of great trouble."

"Saevaran would speak to each of us, once we gained our color. He granted us our epithets. Now, the few dragons that are still born are forced to name themselves."

"Your world is far different from mine then. Each dragon's color, for those that are metallic, chromatic, or gem, is determined when the egg was laid by the color of the parents. Names are rarely given by Stargazer, or one of the other three draconic deities: Bahamut, Tiamat, or Sardior. Otherwise, we are usually named by our parents."

"Our names are chosen by our parents. But our titles were given by Saevaran himself."

"Interesting. Titles are usually self-given, for those who actually wish to claim them, that is, but rarely they are given out by one of the four deities for an outstanding deed done."

"In Borrelia, all dragons have a title. It's a part of who we are."

"Hmmm..." Phantom seems to ponder this for a bit. "Interesting. Your world is much different than mine it seems."

Mithris nods. "It seems that way."

Phantom grows quiet for a while. "I would enjoy traveling your world at some point. With how different it is from mine, it should prove quite the adventure."

"I would enjoy showing it to you."

"I may have to take you up on it there then later." Phantom nods politely to Mithris with that. "It's been a pleasure, but I should probably be exploring this new world and meeting the rest of the people here. I'll be seeing you around Mithris."

Mithris nods. "See you later."
