Raphael looks around for Elendon
Elendon is on the roof, watching over a mourning Phantom from a distance.
Raphael follows their gaze. To Elendon: I will comfort the dragon, and then I... have a favor to ask you
He lost his wife, Raphael...Even my considerable powers weren't enough resurrect her for long...
That... isn't my favor I want to ask. Well, I want a spell to cast, and I also would like to talk about free will. As for the dragon, understood but I am not planning on bringing them back
Elendon chuckles. Even if you wanted to, you couldn't bring his wife back, Raphael. As for the rest...We will see.
Well... I was told that resurrection was the decision of the gods, not angels like me. That and once a soul passes to the afterlife and become a petitioner, coming back upsets the natural flow of souls
That's not always true, but it is sometimes...Not in Caelum's case.
Got it. I understand that the answers are't open to me... Anyway I guess I am going to comfort the dragon Raphael says, worried
Elendon nods. Good luck. I fought alongside him in the Creation War, when his father died. That nearly broke him; I can only imagine the pain he's feeling...He's really the only friend I have left on the Material Plane..
Raphael is now burdened with self-placed responsibility. I will do my best... sorry if I fail. I'm... not the best angel out there and I am sorry if I am not able to help your friend
Elendon lays a hand on Raphael's shoulder. Don't beat yourself up if you can't help him. He needs time as much as anything.
Thanks. I just... I am worried that I will slide down to fall if I don't try and push myself to help and be good. Raphael says, freezing up upon being touched. And... I will follow the order
Elendon closes his eyes. You're so much like his wife when they first met, Raphael. He chuckles. She always tried to be subservient to him, because he was more than twice her age. He wanted a partner, a friend, and she kept seeing him as an authority figure. Please, that was advice, not an order, Raphael. As for being scared that you will fall, you won't. You choose free will. That is pretty much the one thing I asked.
I'm... I'm... I need to talk to you about this, but I will do so later. Right now, I need to help. They say, about to move away from Elendon's touch, but feeling peace at the God's touch
Elendon nods, oddly worried. Then go, Raphael. Do what you need to do.
They nod, worried that Elendon is worried. They take the from of a cute puppy and walk over to Phantom.
Need something to snuggle?
Phantom looks over at Raphael, and chuckles slightly, a tear falling and splashing him. I know exactly what you are, Deva, but I appreciate the sentiment.
I know, but... I want to help. How about a bear? That way, I won't be so small compared to you. We could also talk if you want
They try to shake off the salt water
Phantom actually smiles. Talking would be a better option. Even a bear is a little too small. He shifts and extends one of his foreclaws, showing that even an adult brown bear could easily sit inside the palm of his talon. He sets it back down, and Raphael notices a band of tight, interlocking silver scales on one of his claws, the same one that would correspond to his ring finger in humanoid form.
Raphael thinks for a while. Maybe a dinosaur... But talking is good. Mind if I take a humanoid form? Oh, and... um... so... what is the problem, if you are open to sharing
Phantom chuckles. "Go ahead. I don't honestly care what form you take." He sighs, and turns back to the sky, watching the moon and stars. "As for what's wrong...My wife died...on the day of our wedding. We were just officially married, having finished our vows, when a fallen deity came. He...he killed her." He looks back down at his talons. "The only other being I truly loved, I truly shared all of myself with...taken from me...on what was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives." Another tear falls. "She loved the night sky too. Said I reminded her of it. This...This is the kind of night she would've loved." He voice started to crack with that last sentence.

Phantom chuckles slightly. "It's worse, and better than that still. I have two wyrmlings she left...I believe you've already met Noctus, my son. Always the warrior." He chuckles.
"He is. He is fun and I am sure you are raising them well... um... want to continue to talk to me? Sorry if I am interrupting you."
Phantom smiles sadly. "Thank you. I'm doing my best but...It's hard." He looks over at Raphael. "And no, you weren't really interrupting me. I was just contemplating things, and desperately missing Caelum."
“Yeah, just said, 50 miles down, 65 to the mountains”
Wis save. "Then I will just take your memory of it, and I will teleport us there*

They cast detect thought and call forth memories of the village
“Sorry bout up there, my brain lost it’s filing cabinet”
"So you have no memories of the village?"
“Eh, think less village, more giant lab with a farm, and I do have memories, there’s just somewhere- maybe under the bed- nOpe not under the bed- damnit” he’s talking as if he’s somewhere else
"Just remember them, then I can find them."

“Heh-“ he starts banging his head on the table “I got it! I think”
Phantom is on the grass outside the Tavern, watching the moon and stars, tears falling from his eyes occasionally.

Raphael turns into a gnome and try to hug Phantom. "It's alright to be sad. Its alright to face the emotions.... um... sounds like you enjoyed your wedding until the death."

"Look," They say, trying to climb onto the dragon's head, "the most important thing is to understand that this is difficult and hard, and time-consuming. This isn't something you should try to rush... Have you heard of the five stages of grief?"

*If Raphael said that, He'd be dead very quickly. Phantom's already dealt with one person who disrespected Caelum's memory, and won't deal with someone else doing the same.*
