"Alright, I'll start off with something simple Frostbite. It's a short-range cantrip that harms and slows the reflexes of the target." Soldaer starts chanting, the chant almost sounding a little like a prayer. A few seconds later, a small bolt shoots out from Soldaer's hand and hits one of the dummies, quickly coating it in a layer of bluish ice.
"Woah, ya made it frozen!" Avery claps, having not seen that cantrip before
"Indeed." The frost quickly melts, leaving some minor damage to the target behind.
"Here's a harmless, but sometimes fun one. It's called Druidcraft." Soldaer spots an unopened flower about 10 ft. away, and fixes his gaze on it. "Watch that flower bud," he tells Avery. With that, he start chanting once again, his gaze fixed on the flower. When he finishes chanting, the flower slowly opens, revealing a beautiful deep red lily with a yellow throat.
"That particular spell also has a few other uses, including being able to predict the weather."
"Seems super useful," Avery nods, looking at the sky, "Could prepare for a storm."
"Well, let's see what the weather holds for tomorrow, shall we?" Soldaer repeats the same chant, this time focused on the sky. When he finishes, a small golden sphere appears in the air, about 10 ft above his head. "Looks like it's supposed to be nice and sunny out tomorrow."
Soldaer reaches into his pocket, and pulls out a small piece of moonstone. "This is called a star map, and I will show you why later. For now though, it is a necessary component for the next spell I want to show you: Guiding Bolt." With that, Soldaer starts chanting once again. As he's chanting, the moonstone begins to glow, seemingly from the inside. When he finishes chanting, the glow suddenly flares, and a brilliant bolt of pure whitish-gold radiance flies out, striking one of the target dummies dead center with a bright flash. When the flash is gone, there's a small burn mark that seems to be glowing slightly, although it fades rather quickly.
"Woah...... thats so cool! It left like a burning thing??" Avery says, looking closely at the dummy that was hit
*Morning Everyone!*
"Yeah, I guess it did. Usually, I'm too busy in battle to notice what that particular spell actually does to the target. Interesting."
"Well, on to some other spells" Soldaer says with a smile. "This next one requires something a little more interesting, namely something metal to properly demonstrate." Saying that, he pulls a dagger seemingly from nowhere, and throws it into the target dummy. "This is a very fun one called Heat Metal."
*Morning.*
"YOu've never taken time to know what the spell does fully?" Avery asks
A man flipped through a book as he walked along the water-soaked muddy trail. His boots occasionally getting stained with the mud then quickly dried as they squished into the mud below them. The forest was covered in a warm morning mist as the world around it awoke water clung to every flower petal, every leaf, anything it could get its misty hands on. Birds chirped their morning song as the man passed by.
The man wore a white button-up dress shirt with beige vest over top of it and a dark brown coat over top of that. His long black trousers seemed to not have a single spot of dirt upon them. He had short, light brown hair that, when it caught the sunlight, turned a red brown in color. His warm grey eyes scanned over the pages of the book he held.
He muttered to himself as he read the passages of the book, whose title read as follows. “The summer prince and the winter fey”.
After a few minutes of muttering and reading to himself, the man shut the book and stuck it inside his satchel. He stopped abruptly in the path and held up his hands to air, pointing his fingers forwards. He made the shape of a rectangle, just big enough for him to fit through, in the air. The shape suddenly began to glow a pale blue and wavered like water upon a lakes surface.
He smiled to himself, silently pleased with how that spell turned out. As he kept a tight grip upon his satchel, he walked forward into the now opened portal which snapped shut behind him as he entered the world beyond it.
A man walked in. He stood about 6'0 feet tall and was dressed in a dapper way. He wore a white, button-up, long sleeved dress shirt, a grey vest over top of that, and a dark brown leather coat. He had short red-brown hair that, when it caught the sunlight, shone like nothing else. His warm grey eyes seemed to be scanning over the tavern's patrons as he walked to a table in the far back. A bag of holding stayed strapped around his hand and shoulder, bouncing slightly with every step the man took.

A heavily armored being walks into the Tavern. He's decked out in full Spartan MJOLNIR combat armor spray painted black and gold, kitted with an assault rifle of some kind as well as a hefty looking magnum. A big combat knife is sheathed on his shoulder and on the sides of his black helmet in gold print reads; FEET FIRST. He stands at about seven and a half feet tall and looks like he could flip over a car if he needed to.
"Hello, everyone. I am Noble-77, callsign Rango. I am a Captain apart of the Helljumpers Military of Elturel and Baldur's Gate. I am looking for any that are willing to join. You may address me as sir, Captain, or Noble-77. Only my friends get to call me Rango."
*Oh, I should've stated earlier that I'm planning on running a little Halo: Reach encounter that has little to nothing to do with the Tavern just for fun. If you want to, just make a new character that wants to sign up. Preferably a near human so you can fit into the armor.*

*I kinda want to do stuff with your characters, but its hard to remember stuff*
*hmmm, actually here:*
Azazel walks over to adder, not saying anything, just watching him for a moment
*React if you aren't busy :)*
I play a miriad of characters at the lord's rest inn
Two things are infinite: The universe, and human stupidity; and I'm not so sure about the universe.
Scifi horror is quite the trip :) Comics and a story

*Its good, Just looking at stuff I want to get like Masks and jewelry to symbolize Issac in D&D today. I already have two small vials filled with dark red paint to look like blood and a bag of replica D&D coins. I want to by a 3D printable Vicious dagger because he has one*
Adder looks over at him but continues to cold shoulder him.

"It really is, but you can imagine how useful it can be against an opponent who's wearing a full suit of armor." Soldaer grimaces slightly at that thought himself. "Well, here's one that certainly useful in a combat situation: Faerie Fire." This time, all Soldaer does is gesture towards the target dummies, and suddenly all of the targets are shrouded in brilliant blue flames.
*Ooo, 3-D printable stuff is fun :D*
Azazel sits next to him, "Are you still mad?"

*Oh, I should've stated earlier that I'm planning on running a little Halo: Reach encounter that has little to nothing to do with the Tavern just for fun. If you want to, just make a new character that wants to sign up. Preferably a near human so you can fit into the armor.*
The Tavern Mother (Trust me, it's not as weird as it sounds!)
I am the God-Queen of Trickery, Cunning, Lies, and Gaslighting- but you already knew that...

"Eliksni must rise...yes?"

When it comes to pronouns I prefer Variks-Senpai (But I'm a dude. Pronouns are weird.)
