The Circle of Hedgehogs Druid Beholder/Animated Armor Level -20 Bardof the OIADSB Cult, here are our rules.Sig.Also a sauce council member, but it's been dead for a while.
Sharlene is suplexing a 20th wolf. She has almost single-handedly suplexed most of the wolf population in the forest.
Wolfe is taking a nap at the bar after drinking a lot.
Soldaer and Shadow walk over to her. "Why are you wrestling wolves?"
She looks up from the ground, the wolf taking the opportunity to run away, whining. "I'm bored, why else?"
"It seems like an odd thing to do just because you're bored. After all, there's training dummies closer to the tavern that can actually provide more of a challenge, or at the very least could be rigged to. Besides, wolves and the other animals in here can make for great companions, as long as you know how to treat them right." With that, Soldaer reaches his hand out towards a nearby bush, and fox cautiously walks out, before accepting some head scratches.
"I don't want dummies, I want something that actually fights back. Preferably a bear, but it seems I've already beaten the only one that was already nearby. I wonder of there's any monsters around here...."
"There most likely are, somewhere, and if not here, then there's plenty on the various worlds the people here have come from. Talk to Enethia. She should be back in the tavern somewhere. Tell her you need some adventure, or at least something to fight."
"I know Enethia, we've sparred before. Besides, I think she went somewhere recently."
"What kind of sparring do you prefer? As you can probably guess, I'm usually one who prefers weapons, but I'm guessing your more along the lines of a monk of some sort."
"Whatever is fine with me."
"Alright then. Let's head back over into the protection zone, as while I can heal us if we get seriously hurt, I'm not that skilled in it. Only a limited number of healing spells are at my disposal." With that, Soldaer turns and heads towards the training area, drawing his swords as he goes.
"But it's boring in the protection area, let's fight out here."
Soldaer stops midstride and turns around, pivoting perfectly. "We should at least get someone to watch. Don't want one of us dying after all."
"Yeah, you seem like the type to hate death." With that sick roast, she looks around for anyone nearby.
Fires seem to light in Soldaer's eyes at that, and his voice takes on a hard edge. "I've killed more than you know. I've fought in wars against enemies I wish never existed. I don't hate death, as it is natural, but unnecessary death is something I do hate." The rapier in his left hand is glowing rather brightly now. "If you can't live with the fact I don't want either of us to die, then you're out of luck with sparring today. But, if for some chance, you can live with that, I will gladly spar you, as it will help me train as much as it will help you."
Sharlene doesn't seem to care much about this transformation. "Boy, you need to tone down a bit, if you're so fragile as to not be able to take a pointed comment, and blind enough to not see beyond an opponents features, then I'm surprised you've even lived a fight with enemies you 'wish never existed'. As for the sparring 'helping' me, all it is is a way to pass the time while doing something productive. I could just as easily train than spar, but no, the training that once broke me everyday isn't cutting it anymore." A fire of her own seems to have sparked in her eyes. "And before you say 'just ramp up the training', I've done that already, for the past 5 years I've done that, and it still isn't cutting it. And killing more than someone would know isn't a trait of strength, in fact, you don't need to be strong to kill, strength is the opposite, it's living, and letting live while winning at the same time. That's strength, boy."

I'm over 200 years old now, and have rarely had time to relax." Soldaer almost seems saddened at this. "Most people, even my own, are able to take time to enjoy life. My life has basically been a sacrifice to my people; one long, living, sacrifice to those under my care, and to the deities I serve."

Avery sits down next to her, "How'd it go?"
"Irreversible."
"I'm um.... i'm sorry."
"It's not your fault." She sadly downed another mug, hiccuping a bit.
"I know, its just.... i feel bad driving people apart, thats not what i ever want."
"I don't think anyone who's sane wants that... but it's happened already...."
"Don't you want to fix that though?"
"I don't think there's any fixing it... I can't even stand to think about him right now..."
"Is it guilt? Do you want me to try and speak with him?" Avery offers
"Yes to the first thing, no to the second. The most I'll probably be able to manage is to have a short conversation with him, and that's still a long ways off ahead in time."

From upstairs there is a loud breaking noise.
Alric sighs and goes to the bar.
