Felix is drinking a peppermint mocha and staring out the window at the mostly empty streets.
The Abyssal Aspects are together for once and hosting a small holiday party. No one has shown up, and the three monsters are just sitting around drinking eggnog.
Ichigo walks over, holding a crudely wrapped present in a rather nice box. Bugs crawl around excitedly, in and out of the folds of wrapping paper. For once, Ichigo has shed his armor. All that stands before Felix is a humanoid shape made of bugs, millions of them keeping the form of what a human looks like.
Toboroth appears, slowly moving over and sitting across front them.
Felix looks awed. "Ichigo... you're so beautiful! But won't the cold get to you quicker like this?"
The Aspects seem delighted. The Beast pads over and sits down next to Toboroth. The Magus brings him some punch. The Neighbor does the talking for now. "Howdy! Thanks for showing up, bud. Means a lot to us."

"I thought.. it would make.. a nice.. Christmas present." He said, handing Felix the present, the bugs skittering away to join the body.
"I am trying to get used to moving again. These old bones don't move well.." he said, the bone creaking as it moves, curling itself around a tree like a snake. It's long black stringy hair covers it's horse skull head.
He doesn't really look away from the window, but he does nod. "Hey, Rag."
He nods back “Hello Felix.” He sighs, crossing his legs “Felix, what is it like to be cold?”
"At first it's uncomfortable. Like tasting mint with your extremities. And it grows more intense as time goes on. Slowly, slowly it creeps from your fingers to your paws to your limbs, cutting through your fur like a knife and infesting your nerves like a virus. Leeching out all warmth and hope. Eventually, it gets so intense that you start to lose feeling. People panic at that point. They shed their clothes, thinking that the weight slows them down. They throw themselves into fires looking for warmth. They cut open their dogs and coat themselves in the blood in a vain attempt to fight back against the chill. Hypothermia does terrible things to the mind, and in a snowstorm, you are isolated even when you have a friend ten feet to your left and right at all times. Human will has a freezing point, and it is much warmer than the freezing point of the organs. Your body pulls back from your limbs, hoping to preserve the blood and heat left inside. If you're lucky, your legs will freeze in a way that lets you walk before your hips freeze solid. If you're even luckier, you can scream loud enough for someone to hear. But by this point, you're basically dead. Even if you get warm in time, your limbs will not recover from the frostbite. Your bones will break from thermal shock, your cells so damaged by ice crystals that they can never recover, and will rot before they heal. Eventually, the cold finally reaches your organs, and they begin to shut down. At this stage, any recovery at all will be hopeless. You might as well lay down and die and hope someone who was better prepared than you brought a 300gp diamond."
Felix sighs. "Hell is cold, Rag. But why do you ask?"
He nods along with his words, squinting softly, his eyes slitting “I’ve felt nothing but warmth my entire life, things that should burn and seer barely make me grow any warmer, I only know the sun provides heat because of what I’ve seen around me. Magma is lukewarm, fire is nothing at all. Few times have a felt something other than the internal heat that fills me with every waking moment. Even in death I have felt nothing but dimness, not cold, but finally a little bit less heat. Water turns to steam in my skin, and the burning grows even more when I am angry. I simply wanted to understand something I could never hope to experience. Thank you Felix.”

Felix is delighted. "Thank you so much!" He tears into the present, excited to see what's inside.
Neighbor chuckles. "Yeah, we've been there. We weren't trapped, but we were stuck in a metaphorical hole for longer than most people can fathom."

Inside is a bunch of little figurines. Well carved and painted to resemble patrons of the tavern including a little carved version of the tavern. There is about fifty figurines in total, each one delicately carved.
"It is not fun." It said and tilted it's head. Spiders and crickets crawl out of the it's eyeholes.

Grimes is enjoying a cup of spiked hot cocoa inside of the Inn, sitting at a table alone, enjoying his solitary as well as the season. He has a gift sitting on the table next to him, neatly wrapped.
Merabelle is in town, spreading Christmas cheer to everyone with her joyful hospitality, in her black overalls as she paints the beautiful scenery and the people all around.

She takes the small box, looking down at it for a moment, smiling before looking back up to them “Now what is this here sweetheart?”
