The guilt house, from the looks of it, has fallen into disrepair due to Home breaking free. Home, currently, is having a bit of a an issue adjusting to the reality that he is free and has taken up sitting in the tavern basement because that is all he has ever known. He refuses to take off the mental hospital clothing he has on for years, despite it now growing more dirty by the second.
Loriche is making him some traditional minotaur-style garments, along with minor built-in armor.
He watches her from where he sits, knees to his chest.
She goes over to him and sets down a coarse yet cozy wool tunic and undershirt along with leggings and undergarments. The external garments contain light armor plates along the sleeves and front. “Don’t feel the need to cover up or anything; you don’t have anything I haven’t seen before.”
He uncurls himself, still kinda quiet as he nods his head. He slips it on over his clothes and stands up "Thank you.... Sorry.."
“What’re you sorry for?” She smiles at him cheerily. “Need anything else? Any food or drink or anything else?”
He shakes his head "I threw up the last stuff I ate, I don't think my stomach can handle it.. but thanks."
“No problem. Anything else I could offer you?”

I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
Samaritan is outside, preparing what appears to be a huge feast. He has already set out brussel sprouts with bacon, a whole roast boar, three roast chickens, steamed broccoli, roast broccoli, mashed potatoes, a rack of lamb ribs, ground owlbear lasagna, stuffed cheese tortellini, stuffed shells, baked oysters, raw mollusk, baked possum heads, fired spiders, chocolate and cherry pie, Button Mushroom bites, and chocolate lava cakes.
It looks like anyone is welcome to join in the Christmas meal.
Riotan pulls up energetically. “Can I help?”
Samaritan looks down at him "You can help by eating.'
“You sure? I wanna be useful!”
"You are useful." He kisses the top of his head.
“Awww…” Rio kisses him back and sits down.
Samaritan sets a plate of conger eels and freshwater eels in front of him. They’re still writhing about on the plate.
“Thank you so much!!!~” He grins widely and begins devouring the critters with relish.
"I know you like them a lot." He said "If you ever want a variety, I go catch some for you."
“You’re so sweet, but I can catch them myself. Thanks for offering though.”
He nods "As you wish."
He looks around for a moment, as if looking for someone, before taking off his mask. The two heads on either side of his middle one disappear into ash. He has inky black skin, it could rival the darkness in caverns below. His eyes are pure white like snow. He has short blonde hair that is cut into a military style. He ruffles his hair and sighs "Been awhile.."
“You’re even more beautiful when I’ve got a complete view of you~” Riotan says dreamily, staring into his eyes.
"I am not. Ugly for my kind because I resemble humans, and ugly to the humans because I resemble the devil's. There is no in-between." He said, not in a sad manner, but one that he understands.
“I’m a demon. To me, you just resemble someone who’s hot.”
"You are kind." He said, kissing him "You are more attractive than I in any capacity however."

*I might bring back Cursebutcher. He's pretty gothic too, but not aesthetically.*
*Oooh! I loved him honestly. He wasn't here for long but he was fun.*
*Honestly Sable, which is his name, is from Northern Silverscale (which is like DND version of Scotland) but sailed over to this country due to his families ties with sugar cane and they wanted him to actually grow up and become a man. While sailing over, they were struck by a vampire lord who lived out at sea and everyone on the boat was killed except for him. He was bit by the vampire and thrown into the ocean to drown but survived. He arrived at his families mansion and forced everyone to leave so he wouldn't hurt them. He keeps himself locked up inside, starving, but happy because he isn't able to hurt anyone. He drives away people who show up at his doorstep and solicitor's are scared away.*
*I wish people would tell me these things. Also, I might bring in my Fallen London character, a depraved hedonist with a good heart and a dangerous bent. He was a poet with a passion for fighting nuns and dark dealings with the squid people.*
*Anyway, that's a really cool character. I will knock at his door until I am devoured.*

*Just kidding, I actually love the idea. It seems very you.*
"Understandable. That's a good thing, isn't it? I've met so many students who try that before they're ready. It's a whole Frankenstein situation. Is that reference still relevant?"
His eyes open wide from their usual half-lidded gaze, and his mouth opens slightly, but he doesn't say anything. He looks at it as if he were just given a mountain of gold.
"Not like I could stop you. What's your name, by the way?"
“It is to me, at least. Earth literature hasn’t disseminated here due to a lack of wide knowledge of spelljamming, though.”
Mauric watches his expression closely. “…is it any good?”
“Riotan. The Ivory Serpent. The Misery Eater.”
"Shame. Spelljamming can be really fun sometimes. Sometimes it can be really scary though. Ever been to Athas? I hope not."
He nods furiously. "I, uh, never had tarrasque scales before! People don't just... get these! Now I feel outclassed!"
"Hm. Maybe the Magus heard of you. I'm not one for titles." It snuggles a bit closer.
Rio kisses him back. “Yeah, but only to a very specific group of people.”
”…you alright?”
"Mn, most people shouldn't be judging on skin alone." He grumbles.
"I think? I feel off."
“Well that’s the thing.” Rio’s scales fall off and beneath is an exact replica of Samaritan, finally finished now that Rio could see his face. “I can have whatever skin I like.”
“You haven’t been outside properly for years and years, the atmosphere’s probably changed! You just gotta get acclimated, y’know? And I’ll be here to help you any step of the way!”

“Twice. It was not very fun. I tried to cheat and bring a Decanter of Endless Water, but it didn’t even work. I didn’t stay longer than a week either time, but I did get some fascinating information on their planetary system and also on their thri-kreen.”
“I’ve collected these only through my years and years of work and adventuring. It cost me a heap too. But you deserve them.”
“I’m not a very well-known demon prince, but I’ve done some impressive things in my day.” He grins.

"I've been in the depths of the ocean for millennia. The heat and dryness alone nearly killed me. The people did."
Felix hugs Mauric tightly. "I need to share these. Can you suggest a good dish?"
It rolls until it's upside down. "I never studied demons. The other two Arms are beings of knowledge, but I am a beast of action. Demonic politics bore me, even as a fiend myself."
It is said that a lordship from the seven families is coming to town. The son of the late lord, Joseph Marrow, is setting up deep in the woods at the Marrow family home. The home originally belonged to the Great Great Uncle of the Marrow family and recently has been bought back by Joseph to turn it into a new spot to head the local operations for their sugar cane plantations. His son, Sable Marrow, is said to soon arrive via a beautiful ship appropriately named ‘Aphrodite's Blessing’ in harbor at any moment.
Hours go by and get nothing. People begin to fear the worse. Perhaps Poseidon himself sunk the ship because it bored the Goddess of Beauty's name, perhaps the pirates in the cove got to it and plundered all that there was. Who knows… but the lights in the Marrow house have been lit now..

“Politics? No no. The only thing going on down there is bloodshed and exchange. But hell, that’s all politics are anyway.”
