She pats their head with her clean hand “Wouldn’t make ya have ta do that. An’ that’s a cute shade o’ red ya got on ya.” She chuckles.
He looks down to the man, sighing softly “Do you mind telling me why I would have to do that, I certainly don’t want to intrude, simply the instinct of an adventurer.”
At this, the faceless merchant can’t help but laugh “Guardian angel?! I don’t deserve to be guarded, but I won’t stop you.” He suddenly stops laughing.
He turns more red and waves his hand "You're the one causing it! I am not used to being complimented.."
".. you just need to leave, please." He said, trying to usher him out.
"Oh you certainly don't deserve to be." The voice said, laughing a bit.
She gasp softly, putting a hand over her mouth “Ya don’t? Guess I’ll have ta compliment ya all the more.” She begins to name everything she likes about him, with a lot.
He lets himself be moved, despite how easily he could stop them “Please, explain why?”
He crosses his legs “Can I ask who sent you? I’m not sure I know anyone who would send me a guardian of any kind.”
*I only have one Felix, but he is needed in two places. I'll do them one after the other.*
Something slinks through the shadows around her, singing in a deep, handsome voice as sweet, mouthwatering smells fill the air. "Come, wayward souls, And wander through the darkness..."
A large beast with blue fur and ram's horns pads over to her, regardless of where she is. It chuckles and lays down next to her. "Do you know who tried to commit murder back at the court, friend?"
Felix walks toward it, looking nervous. "Helianth? What if we... went for a different star?"
The little shadow creature immediately stops, seemingly reminded of someone for a second, before nervously looking around for the source of the sounds and smells.
She thinks for a moment. "No, not really. That's partly why I'm going back- to piece the story together."
The crooked flower is silent for a few seconds, deep in thought. "...We could do that... it'd be a longer trip, but certainly not impossible. Why?"
As she looks around, something big drops in front of her into a crouch, but even hunkered down like this it's about her height. It doesn't come out of the darkness fully, content to stare at her with its golden eyes. It is rail thin, with twisting antlers coming out of its deer skull-like head. Its black fur makes it hard to see in the shadows, but it creeps forward into the light a little bit to hold out a clawed hand. It has... stitches on it, like you would see on a glove. "There is a light for the lost and the meek... Sorrow and fear are easily forgotten..."
It chuckles once more. "I could tell you, you know. Not that it'll make a difference in what's about to happen."
*Don't you love it when you are feeling great and suddenly depression slaps you in the face *
*No.*
*I'm getting slapped multiple times.*
*You people with non-genetic depression that have actual valid reasons to be unwell make me laugh.*
*.. my family has a history of depression.*
*Damn. You have it both ways.*
*I wish I could just magic your depression away, but everyone does. That's why 'just don't be sad' is such a common sentiment. It sucks, but it's human I guess.*
*Part of the reason I don't really play human characters very often, actually.*
Something dreadful has come to town, heralded by flyers claiming it to be our enemy. The illustrations depict a shadowy, antlered demon with golden eyes and a massive hook for a weapon. People have already begun to see it in person, lurking, stalking, never in full light. They say it smells of such sinful deliciousness, decadent butter and cream and meat, as if it had a banquet within its lanky form. It croons in a deep, sonorous tone, but only speaks in copied voices, stolen phrases from women and children that, according to the flyers, it has previously eaten.
After goats began to disappear and children began to sing the monster's songs on the playground as if they knew them intuitively, people turned to the religious organization that sent out the flyers in the first place, begging for protection.
A neighborhood watch has been set up, and the New Church of the Light has been hunting the sneaky, slippery being, insisting that it is a massive threat that only they can deal with, but also a degenerate, pathetic being that has grown weak from its own moral failings.
*In case you bois missed it. I know Lawrence wasn't here for this.*
*I know nothing was happening regarding me, but I’m going to a magic show*

He stops, any force they were putting on him easily crushed “I’m staying until you tell me, and if you are worried I’ll die or something, I have before.”
“Oh about that? Really? I died in that restaurant, but that surely can’t be the reason you wanted to help me.” He says, smiling at the people who pass by “You seem to know at least a little about me, I wonder how.”
She chuckles “Makin’ steps faster than anybody else, I’m proud.” She breaths in the cold air of the winter, closing her eyes, her chest expanding before she breaths out “Took me a real long time ta figure out anythin’ ‘bout my star map.”
"There's a lot of information in it, so it'll probably take me a long while too." There is a pause, Omori thinking of something. "I'm curious- what inspired you to be a druid?"
She sighs, taking another deep breath before looking up “I, along with the rest o’ the gang, grew up inside o’ a giant lizard that protected us from the storms and heat o’ the Gnarly desert. It made me… deeply interested in the nature o’ the rest o’ the world, the nights I spent starin’ up at the stars.”
"That makes some sense. Who was the 'rest of the gang', if I may ask?"
“Ya would have seen some o’ ‘em around town. Stroth got married ta one o’ ‘em. Sparrow, Thane, Arthur, an’ Grimes are the ones here, others… I don’t know where they are.

Donn sniffs the air, spinning his golden pitchfork. He stands on the tree line of the forest before taking a step inwards. His body instantly slips into three goats with golden horns, a pentagram of gold painted on each their foreheads. They begin to prance through the woods, bleating.
Almost immediately, the entity appears. A spindly being rushing through the shadows, golden eyes wide as it drags its bone hook behind it, its free hand grasping desperately as it mimics the voices of crying babies, begging for attention. The light hits it here and there, revealing stitches and sticks and stuffing. For what was described, this thing is being incredibly reckless.

She leads them back through the forest to her cave, where she begins to prepare the meal, though it’ll take a while, so she begins to clean her small home “Sorry ‘bout this, don’t get often ta clean up ‘round here.”
He picks them up with one hand “Fine, but you’re coming with me.” He begins walking back to the entrance.
”You wait for interesting people to come by, or at least people you find interesting.” He chuckles with them “Though what is interesting about a simple merchant.”

"I can help if you'd like?" He stands up and begins to help before she can say anything.
As soon as they walk out the door and the sun hits him, he hisses in pain, ash flying off him as he begins to burn.
"The fact you seem to hop into new bodies or remake yourself some how." It said.
She chuckles “Makin’ steps faster than anybody else, I’m proud.” She breaths in the cold air of the winter, closing her eyes, her chest expanding before she breaths out “Took me a real long time ta figure out anythin’ ‘bout my star map.”

She sighs “All of ‘em dear friend o’ mine, I care fer each an’ every one, just like I care ‘bout you with all my heart.” She says, a solemn look in her eyes.
She just shakes her head, chuckling “Ya don’t have ta, but looks like that don’t matter ta ya, I’ll just add it ta the list.”
He immediately understands the situation and begins sprinting towards shade, the air booming with how quickly he moves.
“Hop into new bodies? Maybe, sometimes, other times I do remake them I suppose. All a part of the magic trick, and I believe you know what they say about magician’s secrets.”
"I don't... I don't want to hurt anyone."
She takes a step back into the dark, seemingly fading into the shadows save for her own yellow eyes that look back at it. "I- I'm not lost. I am simply wandering." She replies nervously.
Suddenly she seems far more serious. "You can? Who is it? Even if it can't stop what will happen now, it may prevent more harm in the future."

"...But, if you truly do not want to take the Sun of this world, but another... then I am willing to compromise."
It coughs and hacks. It suddenly speaks in a woman's voice. "We're coming apart at the seams!" Then a man's. "Are you scared, kid? ...I am too." "I'm lost.. lost in the woods... and it's after me!" "My baby! My baby! Have you seen my baby?!" "I... can't breathe!" A thousand voices, all crying out as the thing lurches forward, its hook thumping into the ground before it.
"Hmmm... Really? If you can promise me that you'll pursue this lead until it's logical conclusion, I'll tell you."
Felix nods vigorously. "I want to take the sun of an uninhabited system. People may be evil a lot of the time, but they have the potential to be good. I was just a normal guy once too."
She just shakes her head, chuckling “Ya don’t have ta, but looks like that don’t matter ta ya, I’ll just add it ta the list.”

“Hop into new bodies? Maybe, sometimes, other times I do remake them I suppose. All a part of the magic trick, and I believe you know what they say about magician’s secrets.”
"I like helping." He shrugs "Makes me feel useful."
The man gasps for breath, choking on blood and throwing it up. "I told ye gobshite! Just leave me alone!"
"Unfortunately so." It chuckles as a shadowy figure forms in the seat across from him.

"I see... I imagine you're all good friends?" She replies, still curious but also sensing a change in the conversation's tone.

She sighs “All of ‘em dear friend o’ mine, I care fer each an’ every one, just like I care ‘bout you with all my heart.” She says, a solemn look in her eyes.
*Cut for Wendi.*

"I like helping." He shrugs "Makes me feel useful."
The man gasps for breath, choking on blood and throwing it up. "I told ye gobshite! Just leave me alone!"
