A voice with no source speaks. "That looks nice. Is it congee?"
Felix waddles over and places a cooler on the ground. He sits on it and begins to eat a small bowl of rice he brought with him.
“Mhm! Asian cuisine is wonderful.” He nods, thinking that the voice is just from someone standing behind him.
Rio turns his head to face Felix, still not moving his eyes. It’s possible that he’s still asleep and this is just a subconscious motion.
"I haven't had any in a long time. My dad used to make it pretty often, but it was a different color. No, wait, that was poi. My brother made congee. It's been a while, like I said." Some faint music can be heard, distorted and old, like a faded memory.
Felix gets up and opens the cooler. The smell of fresh eel fills the air.
Omori is outside the Inn, trying to decipher the secrets of the stars. She still has a long way to go, but is making steady- if slow- progress.
Helianth is perched on a roof in Lord's Point, soaking in sunlight.
She see's sigils, carved in trees, that are shaped like golden pentagrams. A bunch of goats have shown up around the tavern, each one marked with a golden pentagram on their forehead.
She looks up at the sigils, packing up all her supplies in her satchel before going over to investigate.
It looks like the same sigils that Egregore had told them about. The sigils lead to a black painted cottage with herds of goats, lying around it like watchdogs. All the goats suddenly turn their head to Omori, all of their eyes suddenly turning gold.
Omori recoils a bit when all the goats stare at her in unison, but continues towards the cottage, trying not to look any of them in the eye.
The door is open before she can even knock. Standing before her is a man, standing about 6 ft with a lithe frame. He has hoof-like feet, humanoid limbs, and a black furred goats head with great curling golden horns "Yes?" His twin twins flick about.
"Oh, hello- I was curious about what the sigils around this place were for." She seems equal parts curious and anxious, nervously smiling with serrated teeth.
"Hm, well it to keep folks I don't like out. What happens is when someone tries to get rid of them, it will drag them into a demiplane and they will feed it." He says.
"O- Oh, how intriguing." She adds, looking a little mortified.
*Sure thing! Here ya go, friend!*

Mauric hears this and turns around, confused. “Where… are you?”
Riotan bursts out of the ground like a sandworm and lands right in front of Felix on his hands and knees. “Can I have some of that?”

KK is at her studio, plotting something out on a cork-board with pages from her notepad and lots of thumbtacks and red thread.
She hears the clinking of a spoon stirring a cup of tea behind her. "So, how's it going? I see you got that body you wanted."
She turns to face him, recognizing his voice. "It's going alright- trying to solve a mystery, but aside from that, things have been great. You?"
He's huge. Like, 7-feet tall and fatter than ever. Strugels just flat out cannot get that big. They also don't have dark grey fur and glowing markings like he has. "I've been eating well, and since that's my only real interest, I guess you could say I'm doing good as well. I've expanded my palate, too. A Dark Power wanted to die, and offered to let me eat it. It was quite good, and gave me quite a power boost. I've also been trying to connect with some relatives. Hasn't gone very well, so I decided to come back instead of making people uncomfortable."

*I don't quite have a preference. I like Mauric and Rio, but you're good at character writing regardless of who it is.*

*well let’s go with them then.*
Mauric is making papeda in the Inn.
Riotan is buried up to the neck in a hole beside the Inn, seemingly asleep. His eyes are still open due to being snake so it’s hard to tell.

Home watches, seeming rather okay with the death he's watching.
