Donn is outside, a giant spectral cat walking behind him, it's twin tails flicking just like his. He is explaining something to the cat and then turns to a crowd of different individuals beside him. Beside him, there are two bugbear girls, a child whose entire body is covered by a sheet like a ghost, a young troll boy, a deep dragon wyrmling, a halfling who looks to be in the stages of growing another head, and a pair of twin Mindflayers who looks way to short for their kind with big black eyes. Donn seems to speaking to all of them, explaining the situation at hand with the Church of Light, Egregore, and such.

No news is good news…
I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
*Well that sucks, guess you’re back then. Sorry you have to deal with that.*
*Indeed I is. Nothing bad though.*
*At least you have that. Wanna rp?*
*Sure :)*
*Would you like anyone specific?*
*Hm. Since you have been putting up with me usually not knowing, I shall try and pick this time. I suppose Grimes, Sparrow, and Merabelle.
*Im not ‘putting up with you’ that makes it sound bad, you’re fine. Here ya go.*
Grimes is reading and playing darts, humming to himself as he gets some bullseyes, at this point, nearly no one is willing to play against him, and most are convinced he’s got to be cheating.
Sparrow is also reading, but in the library. He’s rubbing his eyes as he tries to make it through the fifth page of a very large novel, with lots of words, and many, many letters.
Merabelle is finishing up at Samaritan’s restaurant, cleaning after everyone and singing softly to herself. Once she’s done, she heads outside to go look for something interesting.
TH is quick to silence those who think he is cheating and to come back to him with a simple smile on his face.
Stroth sits with him, helping him out with words and phrases, trying to explain them to the best of her ability.
Edwin walks over, waving. He is carrying a bouquet of flowers in one arm, clearly for her.
KK sits with her. "Working on a few smaller projects, mostly. You were saying you wanted to see some more of my creations last we spoke, so I- I brought a few with me."
She inspects each of the mannequins, keeping a calm expression on her face. “I think they’re lovely, if not a bit peculiar. But uniqueness is a treasure, is it not? I wish I could have your talent when it comes to your creations. The only artistic thing I’m decent at is acting, ha-ha.”
KK notices that a lot of the lights in the rippling court are flickering on and off. Street lamps, lights inside houses, a few of the decorations in the opera house, and lights in the great fountain.
The mannequins- all faceless amalgams of arms and legs and torsos and heads- seem to look curiously back at her in turn. KK seems a little surprised. "I- er, I'm honored. I'm glad you l- like them." She nervously laughs a bit, before noticing the flickering lights. "How long has that been an issue?" She asks, gesturing to said lights.
She looks to one of the flickering street lamps. “It’s… been like that for… a decade, about. The city’s main source of power is from the Orator Scales, which is this machine that acts as a judge for our trials. It converts the… well, the essence of justice and the belief of law into power for the city. But… it hasn’t been working as well for a while, and for some reason, it isn’t producing enough energy.”

Thirteen walks over to the assemblage.
Donn looks at him and waves. "Children, this is the fellow who will be helping us. Please say hello." A chorus of little hello's begins to form
"You know, people would pay big bucks to see these things. I could set up a gallery. It would be kind of like a zoo full of living art."
She thinks about it for a few seconds. "That would likely be very profitable... but I can't imagine it'd go over too well when someone finds out they're powered by blood..."
"Hah. We can use coconut water for that. If vampires can drink it, so can your dolls. Of course, the real darlings would use real blood, which we can charge as part of the entry fee."
"That's a really good idea... yeah, that would work wonderfully! Oh, this is going to be glorious!" She cheerfully and madly laughs at the thought.

He is struggling deeply, but is constantly thankful for their help, rewarding them with what he has in hand, kisses.

"What's wrong? Angry? Afraid? Or just hungry?" The archfey's corpse catches fire and begins to roast itself. "I made us a nice dinner so we can talk about our feelings together. “It’s… stressful, to say the least… for the sake of public image, I’m forced into completing this damned investigation when I could be focusing on much more important things… and I don’t know how much time Fontaine, my court has left.”
"What happens to be the matter, sweetheart?" He stabs the archfey corpse in the head, saws off the top with a steak knife, and puts the entire slice into his mouth. "Another court, I presume?"

Podmorski, a fat, 7-foot tall strugel, walks over to him, over the lava presumable on the ground, and sits next to him. "Tough week?"
*Nah nah nah, you know me, I’m always fine.*
He looks down to the strugel, raising an eyebrow at their height before nodding “I wouldn’t say that, but maybe I’m just carrying a burden I don’t need to.”
