KK sits at the gestured-to chair. "Thank you. Now, I was wondering whatever happened to that reporter I was talking to. I haven't seen them since the Ball, and I was curious if you knew if he was alright."
Smiling, she happily answers the question. “Well, since someone had made threats on his life, he’s been taken into custody. For his own safety, of course. It’s a bit inconvenient for him, but it’s the best way to protect him.”
"Yes, of course." She replies, producing her notepad and pen and jotting something down. "I'm just writing to help me remember- be able to see it in writing, you know? On another note, whatever happened with the magicians? I assume they were found guilty?"
She pauses, frowning. “I-… well, we haven’t actually had a trial yet. We’re still gathering evidence, and while they are the prime suspects, the twins are waiting to be judged. It’s rare that I participate in the trials, but I was a witness to what happened. Hopefully we’ll find whoever did it, and if it was the Mercier Twins, the orator scales will give them an appropriate sentence.”
"Ah, I see. Forgive me for jumping to conclusions. Hopefully we'll find the culprit soon enough." She responds, writing down her answer. "Okay, my last question- How exactly do the Orator Scales give sentences and aid in the trials?"

“So, the scales are given evidence by either side of the case, as does the judge, of course. Once it’s over, it tips its scales one way or the other and claims someone to be guilty or innocent. Then it sends the judge the sentence it gives the guilty, and the Judge declares it to the court and it is carried out. That’s how it’s practically always worked. Although, one important thing, though, it never gives the death sentence.”

They find themselves at an even larger set of doors, which open up by themselves to reveal an utterly extravagant courtroom, as opulent as the rest of the Opera House. It also… strangely resembles a theatre, with three balconies at the end of the room opposite to where the judge would sit. On the middle balcony, the highest of the three, is an extravagant throne that must be for Aurelia herself. There are rows of seats, for at least five hundred people, and at the very end of the room, in the middle of the, ‘stage,’ at the judge’s seat, right below and in front of it, are a fifteen foot tall set of golden scales, cogs and gears visible inside of it. It’s currently perfectly balanced, and both sides are filled with a bit of water. In the middle of the scales is a glowing blue orb, the same light it gives off also found in many decorative, angular and rigid patterns across its surface.
“Ta-da! The Orator scales, the main power source of Fontaine, been’ running for more than five hundred years.”

Angél is outside, humming as they hunt for some naturally growing root vegetables like wild asparagus, carrots, and mushrooms. The Owlin is not dressed in their chefs uniform but rather a black tank-top to allow their wings to breath freely, a jacket made of some sort of blueish-purple see through material with silver stars dotting it, and a pair of black pants. Felix has set up an utterly massive feast, set on tables that collectively probably cost as much as his house. His greatest hits are laid out, and there are reserved seats for his friends with place cards. There are definitely enough seats for everyone to come and eat, though, and even some blankets away from the table in case people want to sit on the ground.
Felix is dressed in his best clothes and waiting for people to arrive.
