“You know having a lot of sugar can become unhealthy. Though it may not be my place to speak, I claimed it among the streets of Yharnam.”
“And what does that matter.” He shoots back with anger he doesn’t really feel, more worried, and that’s obvious.
“Yharnam?… never heard of that before. What’s that place like?” To address his comment about how sugar can be unhealthy, Vanilla drinks the entirety of the hot cocoa in one long, drawn out sip, before it magically refills itself, not breaking eye contact the whole time.
”I… why are you doing this? To yourself?”
He chuckles at the display “Your teeth at risk I suppose. Though it was quite the impressive feat, I doubt I could do that even if I wanted to.” He puts the knife as well as the skull down “It is absolutely awful, every day worse than the last, and my home.”
“Because no one else wants to take up all the responsibility, I’m best qualified, so I’ve got to be the best for the people I protect.” He says, his arms finally buckling, his face landing in the snow.
“Mm, and what made it sooooo bad?
she rushes over and helps him up, sitting him on a nearby bench. “Stop… for a little while, at least.”
“The people, the monsters, the eldritch monstrosities. It’s a good visit, you should come some time.” He giggles madly.
He tries to resist the help, but can’t do much with his arms in the state they are in, “Fine, what does it even matter to you?”
“I would, sounds like something actually exciting for once, but the entire thing sounds like an anathema…” he shivers.
”shut up, I care about your well being, that’s what!”
“That’s what makes it so interesting, it’s certainly exciting if that’s what you’re looking for.” He holds out a blood covered white glove “Henry, nice to meet you.”
He looks to them, “Why?” He asks, entirely curious and confused.
“Vanilla.” He shakes Henry’s hand, and Henry somehow ends up with a peppermint in his hand. “it sounds cold, and inhospitable. I mean, I’d love to hear more but I don’t think I’d be able to travel there.“
she sighs. “Because you’re my friend, now take a break for the rest of the day, please, or I’m going to make you. Good?”
“Cold and inhospitable are words you could use to describe it, and they wouldn’t be wrong by any means. Unfortunate you cannot visit.” He pulls down his mask and tosses the peppermint into his mouth, revealing a salt and pepper beard despite how young he is and teeth so clean it becomes strange.
“If you’re my friend stop hurting yourself for my sake, and listen when I say not to worry about me.” He stands up from the bench, his arms slack. (He effectively has 5/6 levels of exhaustion, so stopping him isn’t hard.)
“It’s always the good ones, haha.” He laughs uneasily, trying not to crack “People like me… living so long, when we don’t deserve it.” He sighs.
“That I do not know either, though I am trapped within, finding myself moved by forces I do not understand. Or at least shouldn’t understand.”
"Okay, shut up. Please." Mauric grabs Damian by his collar. "You are a wonderful man, a wonderful husband, a wonderful person, and you may hate yourself for what you've done, but that doesn't matter, because there are SO MANY people who love you. And I'm not losing another friend."
"Ooookay. So what's the ETA on you leaving my camp?"

He cracks, beginning to fall into tears, hugging Mauric tightly “It’s… it’s just… you right… I’m sorry.” He tries to keep himself together but the tears have already started and they don’t seem to stopping anytime soon, his body shaking slightly.
“If I knew I would already be gone, I apologize for my own lack of understanding when it comes to the mist. I will try not to disturb.”

she stops him from standing up. “Rest.”
“A god get sick? I would certainly enjoy seeing that, though I would not prefer you suffer the terrors of my home.”
He looks at her mask for a long moment before sitting back down “Fine.” He takes one of his knifes from his side and begins sharpening it.

“Well, I’m immune to diseases, but I weaken when I’m in the presence of… certain icky things. My anathemas. Spoiled food and freezing weather without respite from the cold.”
*Welcome back, Arch! Would you like to rp, perchance?*
*sure!(
*Cool! Any character in particular you'd like? Be warned, there may be drama! >:D*
*I’d like to intro the Child, so maybe KK?*
*Okey dokey!*
KK is preparing for the Faceless Fair's grand opening, getting the last few finishing touches done. She wears a three-piece suit of varying shades of green and grey and golden trim, with a completely smooth, featureless mask.

“The food I must admit is not in the most pristine condition, but there is respite from the weather, though being indoors is about as safe as being trapped outside. The beasts being everywhere.” He says, smiling at the skull before putting it on his belt with an assortment of others.

As soon as guests start arriving, one of the first to get in line is a little kid, at most nine or ten, with no parents or guardians in sight. They have wavy brown hair and pale, freckles skin, with bright yellow eyes. He’s excitedly jumping up and down, trying to get a look at the fair, which almost causes the absurd crown he’s wearing to fall off his head. He also has a golden scepter, but other than that he wears normal clothes, all grays or blacks.

“Beasts? Like, wolves and bears, or something worse?”

Once she's done, she runs over to him. "Have any spirits stolen your voice lately?"
He turns around, cat entrails hanging out of his mouth. "Whuh?"
Eito stares at him. "What troubles you?"

He raises an eyebrow “This is merely the second time we have interacted, I do not control where the mist takes me.”

He sighs, wiping away his own tears “It’s… what I need to do, you’re my best friend.”
“I don’t know, I’ve had it with me for quite some time.”
Mauric leans against Damian and exhales shakily.
"But... what does it do?"
