"The only one who gets off on violence here is you."
*got any other characters you want to use since the Saphuno one's finished?*
"No problem." Rio smiles kindly.
Those words seem to break him, and he sighs. His eyes, what used to be red with black symbols set in them, clear up, to normal, piercing blue ones. "I don't know why anymore... I didn't used to be like this. It's that goddamn book!" he yells out, throwing it away and tearing up. But, it returns shortly after, sat at his feet.
*sure.* Toothless is working in the tavern, though, it's hard for him as he's learning to speak Common.
"Bloody 'ell... that was good..." he says, leaning back after eating. He hasn't finished the sandwhich, though. "Thank you, so much..."
Mauric just stands there, blank, his anger neutralized but not gone.
Thirteen is at the bar, writing.
“No problem. Anything else I can do for you?”
"I'm not a bad person... I'm a god. The Autumn God... I accidentally picked up this book one day, and it's just been... making me want to kill people with it..." He says simply.
"Can I get... you something... drink?" He asks slowly, pausing here and there.
"Not right now... thank you." he says, hugging Rio again.
"Then... find a way to get rid of it...?"
"No thank you. I'm alright." Thirteen smiles kindly.
Rio grins and hugs him back.
"I don't know that I can... But, I will try. Worst case scenario, I find a way to suppress it instead of giving in to it. Maybe use it for a noble purpose?..." he asks, trying to convince himself more than anything.
"Something... eat?" he asks, still polite, and smiling wide.
"When I get a few days under my belt, maybe a couple of gold... I'll pay you back.... I promise." he says, just simply grateful for his help.
"But like... since you got it from somewhere, that'd probably mean it can be passed to someone else... right?"
"No, but thanks."
"Don't worry about that! I can help however you need, no repayment necessary."
"I picked it up from a random [GP] spot on the ground... Belonged to some shinigami who accidentally killed himself with it by killing somebody else... Details are fuzzy. In any case, I'll have to visit some of my connections, see how to pass it off. In the meantime, would you like to come in and have a cup of tea? I'm quite enjoying this moment of lucidity, and would like to share it with a new friend."
"You're... friend of boss, right?"
"No, I want to... Please?..."
"I'M NOT YOUR FRIEND! YOU STILL KILLED FELIX!!"
"Indeed. Saphuno is a good friend of mine."
"Alright then. But don't think I'm the one holding you to this debt, 'kay?"
"You're quite rude, aren't you?..." he says, very offended in his lucid state. "I didn't kill him, I used a fake Note. And, besides, I wasn't in my right mind."
"Boss is nice... pretty, too. You're detective, right?" he sits down
"I'm holding myself to it... It'll help me recover." he smiles, beaming. "I should... go to bed, I'll see you tomorrow, 'k?" He gets up, but stands there briefly, looking into Rio's face. Does he want something else?... He waves it off and dashes off... into the other corner booth of the tavern, trying to get to sleep.
"You still caused it! It's your fault, even if you didn't directly make him die!"
"No, I'm a writer and scientist."
Rio follows him. "Hey, you looked like you were gonna ask something back there. Did you need anything else?" Persuasion: 26
"I panicked him, sure, but he never came and saw me. I was gonna burn the page anyway! But, look. You're missing the point. That's not who I am, or who I want to be."
"Ohhhh... What do you write about?"
"I was..." he sighs, digging his heel into the ground and grabbing his right arm tightly. "I was gonna kiss you... But, I just... didnt think I should... You're too nice and... not a screw up to want me..."
Mauric doesn't answer, but still glowers at Omi.
"Physics, magic, and the environment, mostly."
"Well... yeah, you probably shouldn't. I have a boyfriend. But I'm very flattered that you'd consider it."
"I truly am sorry I was involved in his death in some way..." he says, looking at the ground.
"I know magic... environment... not the first one. What is physics?" he asks, clearly stumped.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm... sorry, I- I might... No... Nevermind, I'm... just stupid, ignore me, I'll just... be here..." he says, settling into his corner booth, feeling like an idiot. "Alone..."
*back, sorry, discord broke for a bit and i had to reinstall all of my BetterDiscord plugins*
"I... just..." Mauric growls and sighs, walking away. He doesn't know if anything Omi is saying is true, but he can't bring himself to attack him like he was planning to.
"Physics is the study of basic interactions like movement and particles."
Riotan sighs and smiles sympathetically. "I'm sorry. I know it's gotta be disappointing."
*Unfortunate.*
"If you had known me before I got the book, you'd believe me..."
"Like.. things falling?..."
"It's more than that... I'm just a [GP] washed up drug addict... gushing over the first person to help me..." he's curled up in the fetal position, out of sight.
*good end?*
"Yes, that's an example."
"No you're not!" Rio chides. "And why shouldn't you want to? If there's anyone who knows how hot I am, it's me. You shouldn't be ashamed of yourself."

I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
a tabaxi resembling a slow leopard is just outside the tavern, carving a small wooden bowl by hand. Her heavy winter cloak is adorned with sun designs, contrasting the chilling aura that surrounds her. Its hood shrouds her face in shadows
A few snowflakes settle on her coat, despite the clear day
*assuming yes*
She catches glimpses of a winter deity, Yuki. She would know this is she's well learned about the weather gods. Yuki is sat at a bench nearby, reading a book she wrote many years ago.
The tabaxi stays put, but something else approaches Yuki. I’, assuming, as a deity, she could see ghosts?
She certainly can. She doesn't look up from her book, but she smiles. "Hello, little one. May I help you?"
The ghost is a little girl, maybe 11. She looks like Alice in wonderland. “Oh! You can see me?”

*Uhhhh any of them are fine! I only know KK and Omori.*
*Works with me!*
KK is still at the Faceless Fair, and has also created numerous flyers advertising the place which have been spread around Lord's Point and the Inn.
She can smell what can only be described as rotting flesh.
*Apologies for the delay*
Panicking a little bit, she tries to look for the source of the scent, repeating "Please don't be a corpse, please don't be a corpse, it's too early for this..." under her breath as she does.

"If it doesn't, you are free to bring it back for a full refund. Never happened before, but some people have different palates than what I can account for." He's talking almost like a real person for a second. Then, just as suddenly, he's back to his lumbering, gentle voice. "My mother taught me how to make them. She was a great cook. Her jellies were my favorites, so I make those the most. Sometimes I make cakes or pies, but not every day. If you ever need one made for a special event, you can come and ask me."
“I will! Where do you get all your ingredients?”
"A lot of places. The coffee jelly is made from a specialty blend I get at the tavern. The sugar is relatively difficult to get, but it's very good. I don't know the type, but I know there aren't very many brands that sell it. I make sure to get it from the markets whenever they have it. I have a serious sweet tooth, so it's nice to be able to write it off as a business expense."
"Fey wood? That's very interesting. My mother came from the Feywild. I haven't seen her in a long time, though. I hope she's alright."
Her paw hits a soft, invisible belly. A cold hand holds her own.
"You could ask her." He says, bringing the cart forward again. "She's not just fey wood, she's... alive. I dunno how to explain it."
She gasps softly, not expecting to have touched anything. A tear runs down her face and she sits up. "Felix... Is there nothing I can do?... Or, is there a way to get you back?..." She asks, wiping her eyes
"She's very beautiful." He doesn't make any move to take a closer look at it, as if he would offend it. "My mother is usually busy. She doesn't even have time to arrange a visit with me."
No vibes for a second. Then a confirmation. The presence begins to fade as the offering runs out. But before it does, her attention is directed toward the plaque on the headstone. "In loving memory: Felix Ambersmoke. Beloved friend of many."

He walks over to them, clutching their staff tightly as the fire spirit follows soon after “If you insist, I guess.” He looks at his feet, then shifting in the snow.
He puts his head to hers, holding their legs sides of her face “Don’t say that, rest, you will heal. I… you must live… for our family… for me…” He says, tears beginning to well up in his eyes.
Marie chuckles, as well as her cousin the Duchess “Of course not, as well as Jax comes back I will not worry much.” She says, though her eyes are filled with worry at the mention of Jax being gone.
"Unless you'd rather not. It's fine by me." he leads them to the courtyard outside his house. It's tucked away into a neat corner of the Autumn section of Aspen, the seasonal town.
"It's not like I want to go... I just don't know that I won't... Find somebody, if you can... I'll just... rest." She says, closing her eyes and nodding off.
"I've brought no harm to him, I assure you." She grumbles. "He came to visit me recently, looking just the most upset little pup ever..."
He looks to the building curiously, though happy to be somewhere warm “N-no, I… thank you.” He says, not wanting to ruin this gift or say something that’s just stupid.
He puts the covers over them to keep them warm, and begins looking for someone, anyone that could help with this in any aspect, moving through trees and along the ground as quickly as possible.
She sighs, slightly more relieved, but not much “Do you know where he might be? I just… I wouldn’t want to lose him, as you know.”
Outside there is a bench swing, and a table of green wrought iron, with matching chairs. "Would you like something to drink? I have tea. Hot, iced, sweet or unsweet." He says, smiling politely. He seems like a well mannered, good intentioned, old soul.
She waits for him, slowly bleeding. He can see people, but not any that seem to know enough about healing.
"He's resting in his house." She says simply, seeming a bit pre-occupied. "It could just be seasonal depression."
He rubs his hands together, fidgeting absentmindedly “Maybe some warm tea if you want to give me some, thank you.”
He looks for anyone who can do anything, it doesn’t matter who, it doesn’t matter the price, be it gold or blood, he just wants to find someone who can help the person he loves.
She raises an eyebrow “Of course, you seem busy, I’ll go visit him one of these days to make sure he’s okay.”
Franz is stumbling toward his caravan, moving with the sluggishness of a man who just ate a massive meal despite not having eaten a single thing today.
*Of course sir.*
The smell of blood fills the air nearby, before he can react the Duchess can be seen sitting on his caravan, drinking her blood wine in a beautiful glass, looking to them curiously.
He looks up at her. "Hello, neighbor," he utters through his tight-lipped smile. "Would you like to come in?"
She crosses her legs, moving her veil from her face, looking into their soul with her crimson eyes “I wouldn’t mind it if you are offering.”

He seems to think for a second. "Yes. Yes." His voice is dreamy, almost relieved.

Rio watches from the roof, stretched out languidly.
He opens a single eye, the silver iris piercing the mist to them “Hello.” He bows his head respectfully.
He eventually sticks the blade into the ground, and thinking he’s alone, flexes his arms, smiling wide.
