"Void Pockets! They have unearthly energy contained within, that I harvested myself! I've spent a lot of time trying the harness light, but darkness could be an equally interesting ingredient. I wanted you to be one of the first to try them. I think they're great, but I wanted someone who has spent a lot of time in a dark place to tell me. I warn you, this is partially my own emotional darkness as well, so it's pretty heavy."
He looks up at it with his new, golden eyes. "I was about to be crowned a god in the Beastlands. The strugels do need one, after all."
*Apologies for the delay*
"How intriguing... I was thinking it reminded me of something, but that confirms it. Thank you." She gratefully takes one of the little dumplings of pure darkness, gazing into the delectable abyss for a moment before taking a small bite.
"Perhaps you can still be a god, soon enough. The machine is nearly ready. We should be able to set off any day now." It gestures to the Starshredder- a subliminally disturbing work of machine and magic, with only a few parts left to install.
It tastes alone. Scared. Angry at being alone and scared. It's sweet and savory and bitter and painful. The more she resonates with the emotions steamed and fried into them, the better they taste.
"That looks awesome. I'm sorry I wasn't around to see it built. It'll be hard leaving my other friends, but I guess I could get a small teleportation circle set up. That way we can go back and forth while the machine continues its journey."
She enjoys the flavor somewhat, though seems a little... conflicted? "It's... well, it feels wrong to call the taste of something so emotionally heavy 'good', but I can't really find another word to describe it. Again, thank you." For a brief moment, though it's not quite sure what it is, an eye opens on her tendril 'hair' before winking out of existence again.
"Ah, wonderful idea! I'd hate to separate you from everyone so soon after you've returned." It moves over to the machine, beginning to add the last few pieces.

*i am back to really, really wanting to try another ttrpg*
*I recently became invested in a system called Sigil and Shadow, written by an author local to me and illustrated by one of the World of Darkness guys. It's an urban fantasy/occult horror game where you can play as the monsters or the occultists.*
*you’ve caught my attention, darling. What kinds of monsters?*
“Another and the last, maybe it’s a sign.” She chuckles with them, “Finally a husband I want to have, and I’m not just marrying for status and money.” She smiles, her hair snakes resting.
Damian turns, bags under his eyes, shaking his head “I’m fine, I’m still in my prime, have done all nighters before.” He slaps himself to stay awake.
"I hope so..." he hugs her again. "I'm gonna buy you a blood ruby..."
She grabs his wrist, frowning. "Stop it... you need to get some rest. Im not asking anymore." she sighs.
She hugs them back “A blood ruby for little ol’ me? I’m flattered.” She says, “We should find some way to celebrate.”
He doesn’t resist “Really I’m fine, everything is fine. Maybe a little nap but I’m fine.” He puts down his things, looking up to her.
"It's fitting for killers, don't you agree?" He runs a paw through her hair. "How about a hunt?"
"You're gonna kill yourself if you don't stop pushing yourself..." she says, tears rolling down her face.
The snakes coil around his fingers “That sounds good, maybe something else too~” She gives a predator smile.
He looks to the tears, raising his hand to wipe them away “I die every other day, but with you alive I won’t ever stay dead.” He kisses her softly “I’ll sleep, I just want to be able to pay for Domino going to Vanderbilt.”
Felix stares at him with a horrified expression, before sliding to the ground. "I..." He can't find anything to say. He hugs Sparrow's leg. "I'm sorry I wasn't here, Sparrow."
“Don’t be sorry, it’s my fault, and when Stroth brings the Brand back I’m going to cave his face in until I feel good again.” He says, trying not to cry, his face stony “It would have been good to have you here, but it’s okay Felix.”
"Revenge may help with the bad feelings, but it doesn't remove them or make the good times come again." He sighs. "But I'll help you. There's no point in trying to stop you, but you'll need help if you really want to cave The Brand's skull in."
The odd, supernatural chill is still wishing around the tavern. Some patrons swear they can hear a giggle, or see a bow out of the corner of their eye. Sha’dia hasn’t been seen in a few days, the door to her room is locked and the doorknob is cold to the touch.
Yuki, concerned for their health, slips into the room unnoticed, looking for any sign of them.
Sha’dia is sprawled out on the bed, each heavy breath sending a cloud of fog in the cold room. Her midsection is wrapped in bandages packed with snow.
"Oh, dearie me... You must be Dia, aren't you?" she frowns, kneeling beside the bed. "Dragon attack looks like this, huh?"
through the gaps in the bandages, you can see a long, jagged scar, marked by fangs. However, the scar almost looks like it’s made of frost, intricate patterns of ice woven together loose enough that you can see the bedsheets underneath
"Let me try this..." she says, hovering a paw an inch above the cut. She tries to manipulate the flesh and ice to close up.
The cut closes up, leaving sha’dia healed. Mostly. It seems that her entire midsection is of ghostly nature now. *I brought her to a one shot and she got bit in half now she’s sorta undead with a ghosty bit*

The Brand is pretty much unbeatable, so I'll be on call if you happen to need a demigod to help. But I won't interfere in the fight until you specifically call on me, even if you are dying."
"We're cool. All is forgiven. How about that sweet tea you were talking about?" He kicks his footpaws a little bit.
"Oh, right. Sorry, I thought I poured some." he gets up and heads for the cabinets, grabbing two glasses. He pours them both some tea, setting the glass down in front of Felix. "Here, friend." he says, smiling. "Anyway, it's been nice meeting you, properly."
"You too." He takes a sip. "So, who were you before you became a Shinigami?"
She makes the snakes uncoil, letting his hand go as she kisses him on the cheek.
He rubs his eyelids “You don’t need to worry about paying for it, I’ll handle it, but you want me to take a break right now right?”
"Hunt first, drinks later?" he says, smirking.
"We'll figure it out... we'll get her to where she wants to go. yes, break now... please..."
She pulls back, taking out her knives “That sounds absolutely wonderful my darling.”
He leans against her, head in her fur “But I’ve still got to tend to the gardennnnnnn.” He whines, “I’ll take a break, but I’m not sure I can walk right now.”
"I try to be...especially after what I did recently." he sighs, looking away from them. "But, that's done now. Do you think maybe we can find some way to figure out the cause of your... 'imperfections'?"
"Met your partner, by the way..."
“I know from whence this vessel originates. It is a punishment for my lust for power in a life gone by.”
“You did? What’d you think of him?”
