"I try to be...especially after what I did recently." he sighs, looking away from them. "But, that's done now. Do you think maybe we can find some way to figure out the cause of your... 'imperfections'?"
"Met your partner, by the way..."
“I know from whence this vessel originates. It is a punishment for my lust for power in a life gone by.”
“You did? What’d you think of him?”
"Nothing we can do about that, is there?" he frowns, rapping his claws against the counter.
He chuckles. "I messed with him a bit... asked him if he wanted some company, but told him I only date now. He told me I probably wouldn't survive the night on account of you. Other than that... he's perfect for you..." he says, frowning.
“Indeed. The harm I caused warranted such a price.”
Rio tilts his head. “Wait, what’d he mean by that?”
"Perhaps you can do better in this life, hmm?"
"I think he meant you'd kill me if I slept with him."
“Indeed, I have sought to aid in all I do.”
“Ohhh. Well yes. Yes I would.”
"Well, i'll help you in anyway I can, okay?" he says, grabbing their hands.
"It goes both ways, I assume... L-look, I don't wanna talk about it anymore." he sniffles, holding his legs, still up to his chest.
Their hands are the texture of velvet but very cold. “Thank you.”
Rio sits beside him, concerned. “Oh [gp] I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you or anything.”

No news is good news…
I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
"Ehhh..." He holds up his paws in a sort of shrug. "There's a lot of magic stuff going on in the Outer Planes, so I was able to condense shadows with a relatively complicated alchemical/magical process. I could teach you, if you're interested. It employs the Shadow Weave, which is... weird."
She seems both intrigued and a little somber. "Maybe that's how she did it..." She mumbles under her breath, before fully responding. "Sure, why not? I'm curious to see how it works."
"Alright, I'll go and get the stuff. You can keep the dumplings and lunchbox." He waddles off toward his house.
"Still am. I just happen to basically be a demigod now. Doesn't change my job. Except that I can grow coins from the ground now and enrich the earth just by being nearby."
"Ahh, I missed the birth of another one..." he sighs, taking a drink. "Well, have you chosen your domain yet?"
"I was thinking Prosperity, but I don't want to stretch myself too thin with that one. I want to start small, so I'm still looking for a domain at this point."
*I recently became invested in a system called Sigil and Shadow, written by an author local to me and illustrated by one of the World of Darkness guys. It's an urban fantasy/occult horror game where you can play as the monsters or the occultists.*
*you’ve caught my attention, darling. What kinds of monsters?*
*You make your own, but there are classic archetypes given, such as the Bloodsucker, the Lycanthrope, and the Guy Who Lost His Face to a Fey and Mugged them to Get It Back But Is Now A Fey Themselves and Has Their Reputation Completely Ruined Because Fey Are Pretty Much Jerks.*
*There are four "Castings" for the monsters (called Shadowed): The Afflicted (Shadow over Innsmouth, sort of; gains back resources when people are racist), The Devoted (warlock, sort of; gains back resources when they complete a task for their patron, which they can request), The Host (Jekyl and Hyde, sort of; gains back resources when they let their alter take over), and The Ravenous (You have a unique way of feeding to sustain yourself; gains back resources upon gorging themselves on their specific hunger).*
*Actual abilities and weaknesses are completely unconnected to your Casting, meaning that any one of them can use magic or supernatural durability or shapeshifting or whatever else.*
*It's also a pretty simple system, which I like.*
*this sounds perfect for me. I MUST PLAY IT*
*There are typos here and there since the publisher thinks editors don't deserve to eat.*

She makes the snakes uncoil, letting his hand go as she kisses him on the cheek.
He rubs his eyelids “You don’t need to worry about paying for it, I’ll handle it, but you want me to take a break right now right?”
"Hunt first, drinks later?" he says, smirking.
"We'll figure it out... we'll get her to where she wants to go. yes, break now... please..."
She pulls back, taking out her knives “That sounds absolutely wonderful my darling.”
He leans against her, head in her fur “But I’ve still got to tend to the gardennnnnnn.” He whines, “I’ll take a break, but I’m not sure I can walk right now.”
"Well then, here we go, love~" he smiles, beginning to walk to the bounty board. *good end?*
"You're coming to bed with me... I've got Yuri on the bar, Tony on the floor, and T's shift is about to start, he can cook well." She picks him up, carrying him to bed.
*Unless you have a bounty they could fight. Might make one for them eventually, but good end for now.*
He weakly tries to resist “Bed with you? They aren’t half the cook you are.” He says, laying against her, beginning to snuggle against the warmth of her chest “Okay… please stop worrying so much about me, please?”
*i'll have elk whip up an encounter.*
"Bed with momma, sweetie..." she rubs his back, cooing. "They wont notice the difference, babe. And no, it's my job to worry about my husband, and pet." she smirks, tugging his collar
He chuckles at the tug, raising an eyebrow “Oh come on, and just when I feel like sleeping~” He says jokingly, closing his eyes, his horns burning and his chest thrumming.
"And sleep you will, okay?" she opens the door to their room, shutting it behind them. *good end there*

"Maybe try learning some hand-to-hand magic. I heard the Shinobi and Yojimbo of the Yokai Realms specialize in that stuff. Might not be your style, but it could help. Healing magic is also hand-to-hand, so you could learn that too."
“I don’t think healin’ is what I’m lookin’ fer. Somethin’s got me feelin’ stronger, I don’t know what it is, but I feel like things be hurtin’ a lot less than they used ta. I could use a teacher, but I don’t know nobody that could teach me what I need ta know.”
"Well, I wish you the best of luck. I'm not sure if I have anything I can do other than keep you fed right."
