“I’m doin’ fine enough, tryin’ ta teach my son right from wrong, lovin’ my wife that’s now my husband, ya know how it is.”
She once again bows deeply out of respect and admiration “And I am Sersha, hello Malafasa.” She climbs a nearby tree to be on their level.
“Oh, I met him. He tried to drop me into Hell just because I was nearby. Swell kid.”
“You already told me your name. It’s a nice one.” She waves her over with her wing. “And you don’t need to stand over there. You can come in.”
“He tried ta do that?” He rubs his eyes, sighing “I’ll try ta talk to ‘em. Wanna come inside an’ get somethin’?”
She jumps from her tree branch into their nest, sitting cross legged, pulling down her mask to reveal scars on the sides of her mouth “Thank you, it means much.”
“Oh I’m alright, I wouldn’t want to intrude.” He erupts from the earth like a sandworm, then returns to a formal stance.
The inside of the nest is oddly muffled, and the sky seems darker while inside. “No problem.”
“Ya wouldn’t be intrudin’ we’re friends, an’ I need somebody ta drink with.” He opens the door; walking inside, and not looking back for them to follow.
She looks up at the sky, holding a little bit of sand swirling in her hand in a mini tornado “I do mean it, would you like to speak about anything?”
Riotan elects to follow him inside.
“Sure. I dunno, I just recently met you. I don’t know a lot about you.”
He walks towards the kitchen, pouring them both a glass of whiskey, draining his own quickly, obviously still tired.
“Would you like me to tell me what I remember about myself?” She asks them, as if she doesn’t remember much.
Riotan moves to eat the entire glass but pauses, shrugs, and elects to actually take a sip instead.
“…huh?”

No news is good news…
I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
He shakes his head, taking a deep breath, closing his eyes “I just… I’ve never been one who liked killin’ people or animals, my brothers and sisters didn’t like that.” He says, thinking about his family.
Ashi is outside, bandaging her wrists, palms, ankles, and feet. Before stand a wooden dummy with already marks on it from previous beatings. She slithers almost, delivering a flurry of blows to the wood. It doesn't seem to hurt her, the pure force of her hands and feet hitting it. She is dressed in a black sports bra and a pair of black shorts.
Malafasa watches, perched in the tree line.
Ashi turns to her, smiling "Hey there."
“Hi…” She croaks, looking tired.
"Oh dear, are you okay?" She asks and looks up, placing a hand against the tree.
“Same as usual.”
"Mind if I sit with you?" She asked, genuinely concerned.
“You can sit.” She nods, hopping off the branch and landing beside her.
She smiles and snuggles up to her "You want anything hon?"
He shakes his head, taking a deep breath, closing his eyes “I just… I’ve never been one who liked killin’ people or animals, my brothers and sisters didn’t like that.” He says, thinking about his family.
"Oh no, I'm sorry.." she holds him gently.
He shakes his head again, holding onto her “They cared about me, an’ most of ‘em still do, but… I’m so weak compared to the rest of ‘em.”

He looks at them, rubbing his eyes for a moment, sighing deeply “I’m… just so… tired, ya know?” He says, just drinking from the bottle instead.
“Would you like me to tell you what I still remember about myself? My apologies.”
“Yeah. You’ve been through a lot and there’s a lot on you right now. But you can make it through it.”
“Oh yeah sorry I misheard you. Sure.”
“It ain’t nothin’ new, life ain’t ever been easy since I was back at the orphanage, an’ even then…” He puts the bottle down, sitting next to them.
She begins to tell them a long story of traveling through a vast desert, living in what she describes as a den of snakes, which explains more about her appearance, her home distant and destroyed, leaving her alone to travel the world with no real home left.

Mala listens closely to every word.
