*4ft would be enormous for a strugel, but theoretically attainable. And yes, they would likely sell furniture.*
*I see, I see. Anything else you think I need to know? Any rules naming wise? And what about the dying fur thing?*
*First names can be anything, last names are typically a combination of two words metaphorically related to their job. Ambersmoke = steam and candlelight (onsenier), Iceblood = drawing blood from ice (farmer), and so on.*
*As for the colors... well, it's a doozy.*
Strugel clans have four main categories, each identified by the color of their dyes and their physiques, as they have vastly different roles on Honkachu. Each color also has a set of virtues that each member must follow to be a "good citizen." The clans are as follows, from least to greatest:
White/Blue: Brutes. These strugels are typically in charge of farming, digging, and enforcement, as they or their ancestors committed a "grave offense" and are "undeserving" of more expressive jobs. They are tough beyond belief and, in the event that Honkachu has to fight, these folks are going out to the front lines and most likely coming back. They either have no dyes at all or, in the case of more elite "Brutes," have blue dyes (ground from the feathers of Frer-Awk, which are vulture-like birds native to Honkachu) in their fur, the only pigment they are allowed to own. The virtues of the Brutes are Loyalty, Hope, and Stoicism, as one day they may be allowed to go up a caste if they stick together and endure.
Pink/Purple: Craftsmen. These strugels are the most common, and are considered the baseline for their society. They work the machines day in and day out, keeping everything in order. They cook, they clean, they build, and most importantly, they invent. Those with pink dyes must defer to elders with purple dyes, and all their inventions are credited to their clan, not themselves. They tend to be more lithe than other strugels, often with thinner, quicker paws as well. The virtues of the Craftsmen are Fear, Creativity, and Enthusiasm, as the world we live in is brutal and cold, and we must face it with all our might and minds.
Silver/Gold: Nobles. These strugels are the ruling class, and are usually the only ones to own businesses that deal with other races on a regular basis. They are usually the fattest, craftiest strugels, and many of them have very impure bloodlines. The thing that makes a Noble strugel is that they have the position, no matter what they had to do to earn it. They invent as well, but they rarely deal with machines directly. Gold strugels are typically taught to be agoraphobic as soon as they can walk, while Silver strugels are usually taught to be misanthropic at around the same time. The virtues of the Nobility are Control, Deceit, and Thriftiness, as one must be willing to make sacrifices in the veins of truth and love in order to keep society running in this dark world.
Orange/Red: Mystics. These strugels are separated from society, and are often the victims of rumor and black propaganda from the Noble stugels in an attempt to keep them in check. Mystics are raised with devotion to the god of strugels, the forge, and the hearth, Volstadt, and spend most of their lives on Honkachu Mountain. They have thinner fur, stronger muscles, and higher tolerance to heat than to cold. They are nearly exempt from any sort of fear or tyranny, and they dye themselves with colors that demonstrate strength and passion more for fun than for identification. They rarely interact with the majority of Honkachu except to give assistance from either their gods or the history they keep endless records of, inscribed in snailsteel damascus. To have a weapon, tool, or armor forged by these mystics is a great honor, and one rarely afforded to the Nobles who would rarely use them anyway. The virtues of the Mysitcs are Wisdom, Agency, and Compassion, as there is no use worrying about a present or future we have the knowledge and power to change.
*Idea for an antagonist - The King of Nothing (Haven’t thought of a name yet, maybe Kane), I imagine their appearance as entirely stark white, as if they were not given the privilege of color, drained from their very being leaving them with the look of unrefined marble. Their armor shares a similar shape, filling out despite his seemingly slender frame covered in white bandages, hiding most of his body and skin, working as bonds as well, sealing away his true power so that he may not escape. Muscles hidden with strength unknown, hair incredibly long and unkempt, like a mane that drags along the ground with each step. The armor is crack, plates and pieces missing leaving their helmet with a broken piece off, showing their face. They wear a blindfold because they have taken out their own eyes (blindsight), a result of their insanity due to being trapped in an endless pale white void after being forced to be the original sin of wrath for the Black Crown. They grew too powerful for the Crown to reasonably control, so they trapped them. Through their insanity, as well as their pre existing power, they have gained control of gravity (representing the weight of sin, or something) and empty space (representing the emptiness of sin or something). They wield a warhammer, their strength devastatingly destructive, boosted by their control of gravity leaving places where there is nothing with each swing. Their goal is to purge the world of sin and the Black Crown altogether, at any cost to themselves, though their goal has been corrupted with the endless years they have spent in that white void. (Pretty heavily inspired by Mithrix from Risk of Rain 2, though with a few little things different. Just a warning, I do plan this guy to be decently op, like a challenging fight for someone like Archer or Rag, though not a guaranteed victory. High Str, Dex, and Cha, lowest stat will be Wis or Con), I’ll try not to make it too much though. Thoughts?*
*I like it conceptually, but I hate it when I have to fight using OP characters. I just don't like playing Archer. I would suggest making them more like CR 25-30 or something instead of the same level of insane as Dome characters.*
*I didn’t want to make them Dome level, but I don’t know how to scale it to fit more along those lines, if you would be willing to help me adjust it to a level that isn’t curb stomping everyone except for a few people, I would love that.*
*Just take a look at some high CR monsters and use them as inspiration. Maybe give them spellcasting so they don't just have insane spell-like abilities that deal like 40d12 damage or something. Basically, imagine you're fighting a level 20 party.*

*Well, I did plan to give them Lair actions and Legendary actions relating to gravity, with about two attacks and one bonus actions that doesn’t do any damage but has another effect. Nothing that doesn’t nearly that much damage though.*
*Oh, Salem, I wanted to say that Pod is a greedy, selfish bastard and is perfectly willing to assassinate Jack's other partners if they object to him.*
A strugel with a lick of purple dye on his forehead and dirty workshop clothes. He's created a rigging to make himself appear taller in the form of lifted boots. He stands before a tabaxi man in a heated debate. "Have you seen the work your people produce?" he asks the feline with great disdain "it's shoddy at best, and that's why I'm buying you out. Now take the money and get out of here!" he points at a bag on the ground, presumably filled with gold. Once the tabaxi lumbers away, he can get to work. Within a matter of hours, the shoddy place has been turned into a respectable looking store filled with quality furniture.
The sign has also been replaced, and in a humble font it reads "Isaac Woodshape: Quality Furniture"
*baal, if youve got a better last name, i'd love to hear it.. I could not for the life of me think of one*
*Hmmm... How about Woodtwist instead? Strugels often use magic to manipulate plant growth to make their furniture and buildings. At least, the true artisans do, and I imagine Isaac either is or wants to be perceived as a true artisan.*
*Oh, Salem, I wanted to say that Pod is a greedy, selfish bastard and is perfectly willing to assassinate Jack's other partners if they object to him.*
*jack's other partners don't even know about each other, it's probably fine*
*He's still going to be terribly jealous of them. But yeah, it's probably going to be fine as long as he doesn't have to look at them.*
*If you would like to, or we could start another, either one is fine with me.*
*First names can be anything, last names are typically a combination of two words metaphorically related to their job. Ambersmoke = steam and candlelight (onsenier), Iceblood = drawing blood from ice (farmer), and so on.*

Clem still hasn’t forgiven himself for what he has done, and is sitting on the bed nearby, though he doesn’t fact the pile.
Mark walks into the Inn, not seeing them as he passes by.
Ambrosia has, sitting outside of the wagon for the past few hours, watching the scenery, thinking to herself.

A small robot wanders over to the sign and stares at it. He looks at the strugel and asks "Why are you on stilts?"

He looks at the coins, picking them up for a moment before tossing them back into the pile, lying down on the bed.
Mark’s ears twitch, his hands moving to his sword as he hears them, though he doesn’t know it’s them until he turns, smiling nervously, “Oh… sorry…”
She smiles softly, her own arms wrapping around them, “Oh, my beloved, the light of my every day, the blood in my veins.”
