"Information, true or not, is a weapon sharper than any sword. You are a knight, Eithan, because I can prove it." He gets up and puts on the kettle. "I ended wars with trickery more than bloodshed, and I came out a hero. But we still need swords, don't we?" He chuckles softly. "I've lived for 2,000 years, and you humanoids still think power is the be-all end-all. Well, your leaders do. But either way, I'm glad we have people like you. Not pacifists, but people willing to be dangerous for the greater good."
He sighs, shaking his head and smiling at them, “I do what I can, because that’s all that I can do. The greater good is what all should shrive for, but that can never be the case. Thank you for your words, they mean as much as they could mean to me, I’ll try to live up to your expectations of me.” He says, walking closer to watch the students work, kneeling next to Oris.
"That's very kind of you." He brings Eithan a cup of tea. "You haven't disappointed yet. But your double leaves your usefulness... less than optimal. Besides, I think you'd be better trying to live up to your own expectations. After all, a soldier follows orders, and I couldn't imagine giving you orders. Please, enjoy your time here. And for the time being, we are equals." Oris rubs up against Eithan, snuggling him relentlessly.
He takes the cup of tea, drinking it immediately without giving it a chance to cook, scorching the inside of his mouth, though he doesn’t seem to react in the slightest before saying “I apologize for my other half and his actions, as for us being equals, I don’t believe I have yet earned the privilege of standing beside you.” He pets Oris’s head happily, giving them all of his attention.
"That's nice. Strange, but nice." He pulls out what looks like a red video tape and pulls out the identically colored film within. "Could you help me nail this up? It'll keep weaker monsters from coming through while we try and get this managed."
He nods, then turns her hand over, showing that her nails are pointed and painted with finely detailed images of her Schisms. "The darkness is malleable."
*Uh oh... is KK going to end up trapped at the Beach?*
"Sure- just tell me where to place it, and I'll get it set up." She responds, not really understanding what's going on with this strange portal but understanding the importance of closing it soon.
Only now does she seem surprised, looking closer at her nails. There is no fear or despair on her face- only a mixture of curiosity and maddened glee. "How does one shape it, then?"

"We just put it around. Think of it like police tape, but not sticky. You hold it up, and I'll nail it in place."
"It comes naturally to me. I think it runs on thoughts. Try imagining something... vivid. Emotional."

"You too, friend. Would you like some tea? Incense? Anything?"
"You're eager to be subservient.. You must want something.." he feels many eyes on him. "Some tea would be wonderous."
He puts down his little stove and begins to heat some water that he brought with him. "From you? Not really. Forgive me, but I doubt you have much to offer my movement. Besides, it is better to give than to receive, isn't it?"

Time has put up a temporary shelf, and is organizing some hour glasses by length remaining
Dew is in his massage clinic, waiting for customers.
Aokiji is deep in thought, in a meditative pose. His jingasa rests in his lap
*where's time at?*
Loriche knocks on the door.
Riotan is leaning over him to be an annoyance, debating whether or not he should do any manual decapitation.
*just in the library*
It opens into an open waiting room, and to Dew sitting behind a desk. "Welcome in!" he smiles
The air around him is hot and thick. "You are quite a nuisance."
Thirteen enters, carrying a pile of tomes and scrolls.
"Hi! I made something that might be useful for you."
"I've been told." He grins.
"Hello, scholarly one." she says, holding his lifespan in the form of an hourglass. "You're quite healthy."
"Oh, Loriche! good to see you again!" he smiles
"A handsome one, but I digress. I'm rather busy here." he grumbles
"Kind of you to say. I presume that's to do with my age dissonance?"
She holds out a small wrapped parcel for him. "Good to see you too!"
"Your temptations are flattering, but I'm engaged."
"You'll live for a while. Indeed, this is your lifespan." she says, observing it a bit more
he takes it gingerly, opening it. "So, how've you been?"
"Bonds will always break. Like my concentration has." he sighs, putting his jingasa on his head.
“…pardon?”
Inside is a small glass charm shaped like a ram in profile, hanging from a small string that loops through the circle of the ram’s horn. “Oh, same as usual. You?”
“Maybe. Who are either of us to say?” He shrugs, starting to pace around you.

*Oh, okay, great. Was thinking for a second that KK would end up stuck there and come back as some incomprehensible horror like Pod. Maybe let's save that for after her wedding.*
"Okay!" She responds, taking the tape and holding it up in the spots he marks until he nails it in place and she moves to the next.
She nods in response, taking a second to focus on something... that night where everything changed. The mirror. The ghost. Her death. The darkness that followed. She is silent the whole time.

He sighs once again, stretching his shoulders, “I prefer it that way anyway, it’s never boring hunting with you.” He walks over to their room, walking inside.
She walks over to his side of the bed, “This is all we’ve got for now, but I’ll get you more.” She puts it down.
She smiles back at them a little nervously, sitting down next to them, nodding the slightest bit as she looks up at them.

"You are equal because I said you are, no matter what your other half does. I do not discriminate against people based on their value to me anymore. And for the love of the gods, slow down!" He laughs, his voice rising above a whisper for once. "Enjoy yourself. You must think like Oris: soft, quiet, and free. Then maybe you'll be able to have one for yourself." Oris wraps their long neck around Eithan's arm.

"Because you are valuable, even despite your lack of use to me. You are possibly one of the few beings here of my age group. Besides, your quest intrigues me."

"Oh, thank you." he sits up, eating and drinking
"What hurt you, dear?" he asks, not thinking about his word choice.
He chuckles, lying down next to her, “You’ve got to eat to stay strong, I like to eat, dear.”
She sits down next to them, rubbing her hands together.
The color comes back to her skin in full as she blushes, looking down to her feet, “Just… adventuring… stuff.”

She saunters out of the room, looking through her things for food and drink that isn’t cursed.
The bite isn’t too big, but then again, neither is she. There doesn’t seem to be much more bleeding, though the color has faded from Camilla’s skin.

He follows them, remaining silent, his face emotionless as only Tonya can see him eyeing the food.
She takes what she can from there before coming back upstairs to their room.
She shivers uncontrollably from their touch, the wound slowly but visibly closing as she looks to them, her shivering slowly stopping.
