"Well... they've found a way, but it isn't exactly safe."
"Well, you don't have to be Baptised to become an Arteist. You could accept a Nightmare as a familiar instead. One that could survive the real world, of course..."
"What is it?" She asks with genuine curiosity, though it's in a more serious tone than before.
"'Look upon all you have done. There is no forgiveness.'" She mutters under her breath, remembering the Nightmare that Felix gave her. "...And what would that entail?"
"Well, they need to be loved. Cared for by a mortal. That fulfils them. That's what being a Familiar is. Sometimes, an entire town can have a Familiar. I've always wanted to take one in, but I'm legally required to kill them on sight, so... yeah."
"Care for it. Love it. Make it whole in your arms. It will grant you its powers without question if you give it a life worth living. The life of a Nightmare is... well, a Nightmare, after all."

"Hmmm... then I will make arrangements for you." Oris looks disappointed. "I do hope you understand that God made you, and He loves you. You are not allowed to hurt His creations, unless there is no other option. I must leave." He snaps his fingers and Oris follows him. "Do well, Misha."
"Because... I like you. I wanted you to meet my family." He looks a bit sad.
She watches him leave before turning her gaze to the cross she had pinned on the wall. It belonged to her mother and was passed down to her. She rubbed her thumb against the already worn wood of her rosary.
"Well I am happy to meet them." He smiles "Even if they nip me."
*Sad end?*
He looks down at it. "Would you like to keep him? As a familiar? He might be able to grow stronger if he had care from a real person."

"Oris is a bestial spirit. They're strange, but they've been by my side since before I even picked up a sword. Beyond that, the what is neither known nor relevant."
He scratches Oris on the head.
"Oris looks like a friend in the dark, I'm glad you have such a thing." he smiles.
"Truly, they are filled with kindness and love that I don't fully understand. I am very lucky to have them." He picks up their upper body, and they look around with their long neck. "Would you like to hold them?"

"Interesting... what's so dangerous about that? Are Nightmares passively corruptive or something?"
She is silent for a while, deep in thought, before she speaks again. "...Could someone do both of those things? Could a Nightmare be a Familiar to someone who's already invited the Sea into their soul?" She asks, sitting down on the shore and watching the waves. "Maybe that way, I could keep my morality and still be as strong as if I had traded it away."

As soon as he is told to do so, he picks up the sword and assumes a fighting stance. He analyzes Eithan for just a moment, then swings wide in an attempt to maximize potential hit locations.
To Hit: 6 (he's not proficient in martial weapons and has a +1 to STR. Not even level one.)
Half-way through the swing, he thrusts directly at Eithan's stomach.
To Hit: 20
The moment he swings each time, he catches the blade with his armored hand, before pushing the blade to the ground “And there we have it, someone willing to kill to prove their beliefs, in the right hands, you are someone capable of taking down nations. A fanatic if handled poorly.”
*Good end? I can't think of how to continue this, really.*

"Well, the thing is, see, they want to reproduce. And that means more Nightmares. Nightmares are stronger than nearly any mortal beast when they have a chance to live and feed, or worse, grow up on the Material Plane. They will wipe out entire ecosystems, or so the folks at NEO say. So we wipe them out, ending their misery and saving taxpayers the eyesore in one fell, morally ambiguous swoop."
"It's never been tested. Most just create more Familiars after being transformed, but those are delegations of power, not increases. Nightmares don't often work together, as we become easier to track when we do, and the odds of more than one being spawned in an area that isn't under constant watch is... low."

He holds them their, warm arms wrapping around them.
She sighs, lying back down on their chest, “I’ll think of something.”
He raises an eyebrow, crossing his arms, “Did you dear? Would you like my help?”
He turns around. “So are you a goddess? Or some other force of nature? A primordial perhaps?”
“Still wouldn’t work, I think.”
“I don’t see what you’re saying here. Was not the Buddha tempted by demons as he tried to enlighten himself?”

He leans into their touch, “Just wad waiting to get home to you the whole time.”
She does hers, yawning softly, comfortable.
He walks over to Saphuno, standing just out of reach with his hands in his hips “What would you like me to do?”

He smiles, pulling them into a kiss with a smile, “What can I say? That’s just how I feel.”
“I’m just… tired after that adventure.” She closes her eyes, steadily falling asleep.
