The giant clutches at the back of his head and curses before spinning around, swinging his long arm in a wild, bone-splintering blow.
He teleports away, on the ground. He is bloody from the battering from the tree. "Missed me you id-" he is then cut off by a haymaker from the regular Theren
"Heh heh heh heh," chuckles the tree spirit up in the tree, his cigar lodged tightly between his teeth. He grabs a heavy branch and the wood and bark begins to twist and writhe in his hand. It lengthens into a long sharpened spear which he then hurls down like a lightning bolt at the variant.
"You got it." He holds the incapacitated bird close to the spider which lunges forward like a terrible eight fingered hand. It sinks its long fangs into the bird and begins to release digestive juices into its prey. A small trickle of blood begins to run down the Kapre's arm.
'Nice pet ya got. Ya do this kinda thing often, or does he hunt as well?'
"Nah, he ain't nobody's pet. He's as wild as they get and can go huntin' on his own. I'm just a close friend."
'That's the best way to be, I guess. Ya can learn a lot from nature. Teaches ya how to be smart, resourceful, tough, and yet still, how do the young ones put it, a 'goofy little guy'?'
"Heh heh, I reckon so. I spend a lot o' time out in the wilds, but I always enjoy comin' back into the big city and seein' all the changes they make over the decades."
'Yeah, though I wouldn't call this that big of a city. It sure does change fast. And cities do have their own wildness about them, if ya know where to look'

Theren sighs. "You did good Tim."
She walks them both back to the forge, closing the door and locking it before her, placing them down on the bed, “I’m going to take a bath. It’s fine if you come with, but you should rest.”
“I helped kill someone… but they were bad, so it’s okay right?”

The spear slams into the chest of the Kapre, impaling him. Dark red blood begins to spill out of his chest and drip down to the forest floor below. He disappears in another cloud of smoke. This time, he reappears right behind the variant with the spear still lodged in his chest. His face is contorted in a dark expression of pain. His huge fists are clenched tightly together above his head before he swings them down with a thunderous slam.
