The two of them turn over to look at them, the Nightmare fully and the man with one eye, both of their gazes cold, but smiles warm.
He drops his trident from the heat, continuing to choke as he tries to break out of their grip, speaking as much as he can, “He… deserved it…”
He leans against them, clinging against them, listening to them play, “Good, I love you, Tonya.”
"You've befriended them, have you?" he says as he comes into view, shapeless nightmare energy about him.
"You were trying to force him into a marriage his young self did not want!" she growls out, making sure he cannot escape, but also choke out a few words.
"I love you too." she smiles, playing the piece she wrote recently.
He nods, raising an eyebrow, “Oh, are you talking about my lil friend here, mate?” He says, his accent deeply Australian.
“He did what… would have led to that… it’s his fault… and I’d do it again…” He says, trying to find some way to break free, anything at all.
He listens, humming along once he understands the melody, his hands resting on her hips.

"Yes, I am.. Are you registered?"
"He's alive, just so you know." she whispers into his ear before her paws turn scolding hot. she continues to cling to him, resting her paws on his face
(idk where to go from here)
*Then we end it, your turn to pick if you want anyone.*
“Registered? Maybe, haven’t check recently, what do you think mate?” He asks his Nightmare companion.
He tries to say something, but all that comes out are his own pained screams, or what is left of them with the little air still in his lungs. After a while, he goes limp, not unconscious, dead.

*Marionette*
River shrugs and bends down to inspect the Nightmare. "Class 1.. not dangerous or anything.. probably feeds on attention rather than evil.."
She snaps his neck just to be safe, and stuffs the body, crown, and trident into her bag of holding. Adrenaline rushing, she rushes to find sanviento.
Marionette is in her apartment, lying on her bed, hers covered in bandages, reading from her prayer book silently.
The Nightmare lightly nips at their fingers, to which the man smiles, “Oh ya think so? This one’s been with me for a real long time, and I wouldn’t call them any evil.”
Sanviento has been spending his time stalling the guards with elaborate lies, really in his element, considering he’d be doing this sort of thing with Damian.

A knock comes on the door, echoing from Lotty's paw
"No.. this is the kind of nightmare a child befriends when young, and keeps as an eternal companion." he pets the Nightmare gently
"Unc?" she says, tilting her head. "I think we came to the wrong place, this is the Triton palace."
She’s startled, getting up “Coming, just getting dressed!” She covers up most of her bandages before coming to the door, opening it.
The Nightmare makes an incomprehensible noise, while the man puts his hands in his pockets, “Lucky I found them when I did then, huh?”
Sanviento turns, instantly understanding “Oh, our mistake, we should be going.” He nods to the confused guards before beginning to lead them away, “You did it?”

She smiles up at Marionette, tail wagging. "H-hey, hun.."
"Yes.. they've kept you pure." he stands up and smiles
Once out of earshot, she nods and unzips the bag, showing him the corpse. "I got him, Unc.."
She smiles back at them, her clothing still revealing considering she just slapped some clothes together, letting them inside, “Hey, love.”
He chuckles, “Kept them ‘er me?” He says with a bright smile, that coldness still resting in his eyes, like a chilling tundra.
He smiles, taking out a small bit of chalk and beginning to write while they walk, “Good, we probably don’t have too long before they notice, but I can get us out of here.”
She hugs them back, a little meekly at first, but then fully, smiling back, “I feel the same way.”
“Oh, I’m not a great person, ya know, just to warn ya, but this one has kept me from being anything too bad, and for that, I’m eternally thankful.” He pats the nightmare.
“And that means something coming from Damian’s daughter, the flirtatious part I mean.” He says with a chuckle, making the magic circle.

"I'm.. really sorry to just pop in."
"No, you have the potential to do great things.. terrible things, yes.. but great." he circles the man, the Nightmare energy around him taking the form of a blood hound
"Just.. get us home, please.."
She kisses their cheek, before blushing and going back to her bed, “It’s okay.”
He looks down to the blood hound before giving it a pet alongside his own beast, “As is any person really, but you can feel what I’m capable of. I’ll try not to disappoint, and be the good you see.”
He taps the Magic circle, and suddenly they are outside of Domino’s house, “Probably should get rid of that body, I’ll handle it.”

“Which do you think looks better, marilith plumerias or ashweed?”
Mauric smiles dryly. “Looks good on you.”

*Turns out using explosives and guns in a dungeon is a terrible idea, so I'm changing my character concept slightly.*

"Yes. Extended family is often hard to keep track of though. Especially those scattered about the multiverse."
"Ooh, thanks. But I meant as decoration."
"How IS Damian?"
