*I can never be appreciated enough, but that's called a complex, son. Don't sell yourself short, I say, you're doing pretty good all things considered.*
*Character concept: Ancient evil Gourmomancer who wiped out cities with his cupcake constructs and was killed by a party of powerful adventurers. Now he's been reincarnated as a commoner, and has to learn his magic all over again. He has no idea how or why it happened, but he knows who did it and is going to demand answers. Unfortunately for him, this process is taking a long, long time, and he's slowly transforming into a gummy monster as a side-effect of his occult studies. It's only a matter of time before he can't hide it anymore.*
*He uses a trick from his old life: he masquerades as a charming, friendly, uplifting individual, but it comes strangely easy, as if it were never the mask in the first place. He's got almost no money to his name since he was reborn to a very poor farming family. He found solace in community, but it did nothing to ease the outrage he felt at the world for its pointless, random cruelty. But now his goals have changed: freeing his newfound family from their debt and suffering, then reforming the systems that caused it in the first place. But first, he must find himself in this cruel world.*
*He's already started on his redemption arc, but he has a long way to go.*
