Lore is sitting inside, in her room. She is dressed in a black tank-top, grey leggings, simple boots, and a simple leather cord necklace with a wooden arrow head pendant. She sits by her fire, reading a book while her dogs surround her, sleeping everywhere in her room.
Kelipso is sitting outside. He is sharpening his arrows while humming to himself. He wears a tan cloak with a color, native American design stitched into it, a simple shirt, a pair of dark brown breeches, and simple boots. Gordon sits beside him, a bundled wooden sticks in his mouth that he is carrying like any other dog would.
Oval is in the forest, setting up a party for Alric. Glitter, streamers, cake, balloons, party hats, piñata, and even a horse dressed up like a unicorn.
There is a loud clang from a couple doors down and a bunch of elvish swearing.
Lore looks up and closes her book, setting aside. She gets up and looks out into the hallway.
Therens door is open with an alarming amount of steam coming out of it.
Lore walks over and casts Gust to get the steam out as it blows outside quickly through the window. "What happened?"
Theren is standing by the forge with his shirt off, multiple burns marks on his back. "Well I dipped the sword into the water and it brought up a lot more steam than I was expecting." Theren lifts the sword out of the water. It is ornately designed sword.
She walks in, eyebrows furrowed in concerned. She walks up to him and traces the burn marks on him with her fingertip "You need to get yourself covered up, you gonna end up crisping your whole skin."
Theren winces slightly. "Just adding more scars to my collection." The words from yesterday shine a pale white on his back.
She traces her fingertip over the words, quietly studying them.
They read, "You will join your friends soon enough Dotsk."
Lore backs up and narrows her eyes "Theren... when you were pinned to the tree... who was that man?"
"Which one? There were a lot of cultists and one monster. Be more specific Lore." he says as he starts to sharpen the sword.
"The one who carved this on to you" she said
Theren falters as he sharpens the sword. "It was the monster. The one with the three glowing eyes. We call him the SIlent One."
"is he one of the gods that hurt you?" she asked and sat down
"He's not a god. He's a servant of the Nameless God." Theren says as he continues to sharpen the weapon, not looking at Lore.
"..." she sits there, watching him. *Insight: 13 *
"He wasn't what started my hatred in the first place. He just added on." Theren is clearly upset and is trying to hide it as he sharpens his blade.
Lore stands up and places a hand on his "Theren, you need to let go of your hate..."
Theren stops sharpening his sword. "And why is that?" he asks quietly.
"Because it will consume you..." she said and shifted a bit "I know all to well what happens when hate consumes someone"
"And what happens."
" They lose sight to who they are. They only think of their anger." she said "and they loose sight of those who want to help them"
Therens fist clenches around the whetstone. "Did I ever tell you what I was before I became a Ranger?"
She shakes her head.
"I was a Paladin. I served Pelor to protect those. Then a lot happened and I gave up. I became....well nevermind that.."
She raised an eyebrow "Finish that sentence"
"I'd rather not..."
"I want to know"
Theren shakes his head no.
"Please..." she said
Theren hesitates. "....I became an Oathbreaker...."
".... why?"
"The gods.....didn't understand my methods as a Paladin....so I....I did some terrible things and broke my Oath."
"what did you do?"
"I'd rather not talk about it Lore." Theren says through gritted teeth.

"what did you do?"
"I'd rather not talk about it Lore." Theren says through gritted teeth.
"why... do you regret what you do? do you feel ashamed? are you h a p p y you did it?" she asked
Therens knuckles whiten. "I regret a lot."
"Then tell me what you did." she said, her eyes narrowing.
"No....I refuse to." Theren says with tears starting to fall. "I'd rather forget it..."
She coldly stares at him as she turns around and walks out the door and down the hall to her room. She shuts the door.
Theren composes himself after a while and walks to Lore's door and says through it. "I killed everyone in the village I was protecting. Everyone man, woman, and child...."
There is silence from behind the door.

"Forgive the mess, I am trying to regain my sanity again."

A blinding light appears in front of the tavern as Jack appears. He sighs to himself as he heals up the side of his head. He winces a bit "Blood hells..." he curses to himself as a headache racks through him.
