Mars stays sitting.

 "Now that horribly childish Phoenix" Jack said and raised an eyebrow. 

"Why? because it makes you upset to relieve those memories? That you failed to keep him alive?" Leo said and looked up, setting his notes aside. His tone was cold but stern, like a doctors. 

Luxx climbs a ladder to a bookshelf and curls up, revealing he has a little secret spot for himself up there.

 Phoenix sticks his tongue out at him.

Theren's gaze doesn't waver. "Yeah it does."

Mars looks up at the spot.

 "Mn, like i said." He said and again and places Phoenix on the couch. 

"Then face it like the warrior you failed to be Theren." He said, taunting him. 

Luxx waves from above.

 "Your no fun." he teases.

Theren slams the cursed dagger inches away from Leo's hand. "Careful with your next words."

Mars waves back and stands up. *Does being 8 ft tall allow Mars to see into the cubby hole?*

 "Ah... there he is." Jack said with a grin. 

He doesnt flinch but rather smiles. "Why? because you'll kill me? Face your fears Theren."

*yep* You see a pillow that Luxx sits on. A few small child's toys and a child-sized lute sits up there.

 "Come on take these bonds off." Phoenix says.

"I have. I've killed them." Theren says, resheathing the dagger.

"You play the lute?"

 "Nope. You decided to be childish so here you are, tied up like a stuck pig." Jack teased. 

"Obviously not." He said and smiled "You wouldnt act in such a childish manner if you did."

"A little..."

 Phoenix rolls his eyes. "Yeah, ok."

"Childish?" Theren says accusingly. "I am not being childish. You dont know a single thing about all the stuff I've been through."

"May I hear you play?"

 "Was that a bit of snark i heard?" Jack asked and leaned forward a bit. 

"But i can tell by your actions and words, By your tone and movements, that you are." he says and smiles again. 

They nod and pick it up. Performance: 18 

 "I dunno was it?" he says teasingly

Theren's eyes narrow. "If I was childish I would be feeling sorry for myself. I dont. I feel sorry for Vega and Oval. I lost them their best friend."

"That was amazing!"

 "Pretty sure it was" he says and clicks his tongue "Cant. Have. That."

"So you feel guilty? Yet you lash out at me because i told you something that was true about yourself."

"hehe... thank you."

 "Whatcha gonna do?"

"Yes I feel guilty! You would as well!"

"Of course."

 "Make you stay like that." He says "maybe all night."

"Hm. Sure." He says with a chuckle. 

"Thank you again sir mars."

 "Oh noooooo. Such a shame."

Theren glares at Leo.

"Please, just call me Mars."

 Jack's face remained neutral as he got up and walked upstairs, leaving Phoenix there, tied up by magical energy.

Leo smiles again at him "Tell me. When you friends die around you, you will you finally come to realize you could do nothing at all and that you truly are a failure?"

"O-ok Mars..." They said quietly and grinned.

 "Wait-! Jack I was joking!"

"I...." Theren goes quiet.

Mars smiles kindly at them

 He doesnt come back down. Little does Phoenix know that Jack is at the top of the stairs, obscured by the wall. He listens, a grin on his face. 

"Mn. Just what i thought." Leo says and stands up, gathering up his papers.

Luxx blinks once, and then again. Soon he is bleary as sleep begins to make him slow and tired.

 "JACK!" Phoenix says, his voice tight with fear.

"Who the hells are you really?" Theren asks. "Some sorta god or somethin?"

"Go ahead and sleep Luxx. I'll watch over you."

 Jack grins and comes back downstairs. He smiles "yes yes, the whole tavern can here you scream." he says and snaps his fingers, dispelling the magic binding him. 

"No. Human. And a psychiatrist." He says and smiles. 

"O-Ok." and with that, they are out like a light.
