 Theren is looking for Serenity.

 Serenity is once again half asleep in a barrel

 Theren sighs and picks her up out of the barrel. "You need to stop falling asleep in there S."

 She sleepily jolts awake, "Whazza?"

 "You fell asleep in the barrel again.."

 "Sorry, it was bright outside..." She hums in apologeticw

 "It's ok." he says. He smells of chocolate

 "Smeel nice, like food..." She mumbles, burying her fave on his neck

 Theren smiles. "I just baked a cake so..."

 "Makes you smell like chocolate" she says happily

 *Sorry i missed this ;-; *

Theren nods. "Mhm."

 After a couple seconds he's pretty sure she's fallen asleep again in his arms

 Theren smiles and carries her inside.

*Mornin dudes*

*Characters*

Theren is baking in the kitchen. He looks more relaxed and at ease than anyone has ever seen him.

Phoenix is outside by the lake. He looks tense as he holds a rifle and scans the treeline.

Mars is meditating outside. Red smoke roils off of his body as he levitates slightly.

 (Theren)- Lore is in the form of a snowy white mink that is curled around his shoulder. She watches him happily. 

(Phoenix)- From up in the tree's, the sound of metal slicing through the air is heard. Th blade lands mere inches from Phoenix's foot. A pair of black eyes watch from inside the tree foliage, hidden.

(Mars)- A Tiefling child, about 10 or so, sits under a table. She is draped in old clothes that are coated in dirt and blood. She fiddles with a small obsidian statue of a fiend in one hand.

 Theren smiles and hums a tune as he mixes cake batter.

Phoenix raises his rifle and aims it at the eyes.

Mars tilts his head and crouches down by the child. He then says telepathically, "Hello. Who might you be?"

*Oh yeah! BTW wendigo do you wanna read sum short stories i've written?*

 Lore, in her mink form, crawls up his neck and into his hair. She then makes a nest in his hair and watches him cook.

As he aims, they suddenly disappear as a volley of silver needles begin to pour out of the trees. (Dex save)

"Ainslith" She said shakily. She begins the back away a bit.

Theren smiles. "Why must you mess up my hairdo Lore?"

DEX: 11

Mars sits down and removes his helmet. He has a kind smile as he says, "I am Mars. It's nice to meet you."

 "Cuzzzz" She said, rolling the z's on her tongue so that she sounded a bit like a bee. 

(Damage: 2) A few of the silver needles pierce through his skin cleanly, like a pincushion. 

"W-Where am i?" She askes, her golden eyes unfocused

 Theren rolls his eyes and continuous baking. Eventually he puts the cake in the oven and starts to clean up the dishes.

Phoenix hisses and yanks out the needles. "Who are you!"

"You are in a tavern. You are safe here, I promise."

 She yawns and jumps off, turning into herself once more. 

A Harengon jumps down from the branches. She stands about 3'7 and has Cream and Black colored fur with long floppy ears. Her emotionless eyes are pure black like pieces of obsidian. She pulls out two daggers from their sheaths around her thighs and rushes at Phoenix. 

"A-Are you sure? because thats what momma said... then she.."

 Theren continues to do the dishes. He then smiles at her. The scent of baking chocolate filling the air.

"Woah! What the-" Phoenix says as he shoulders the rifle and holds up his hands in a gesture of peace.

"I promise. I protect people. Thats what I do."

 She smiles back as Nicky and Elmo wander in, sniffing the air. She bends over and picks up Nicky, snuggling him. 

The Harengon looks to be uninterested in his peace treaty and narrows her eyes. She pulls outs a scroll of paper and shows it to him once she pins him against a tree. Its a bounty for him. 

She looks away and then nods, moving out from under the table a bit.

 Theren grins at this sight then focus on the dishes, a slight frown on his face.

"Oh.... [1GP]...."

Mars smiles at her then summons a small dog plush. He then hands it to her.

 Lore leans over and leans Nicky forward so the hound's nose would boop his cheek. "I know Nicky, i have never seen such a frown."

She brings the dagger to his neck, the blade inches away. Her eyes stare at him.

She takes it and examines it. She then smiles and snuggles it.

 Theren grins for a moment before it wavers back into a frown. Theren starts to furiously scrub dishes.

"Look, we can talk about this. Whatever they are paying you I can pay double."

Mars smiles kindly.

 Lore huffs "Why so mad?" she askes and tilts her head. 

"?" She tilts her head as her eyes widen a bit. 

She watches him then hands him the obsidian fiend statue.

 "I'm not mad..." Theren says, pointing a soapy spoon at her. "i just have too much going on in my head right now."

"I'll give you double the gold or whatever."

"Oh no no. It's a gift. You don't need to give me anything for the dog."

 "Watch where you point that weapon buddy" She teases, tilting her head and smiles warmly "Anything i can help with?"

"Platinum." She says, her eyes unblinking. "Now."

"No. This was given to me but i dont know what to do with it..."

 "Unless you can wipe memories then no." Theren says, continuing to wash dishes.

Phoenix rummages in his bag before pulling out a taser and pressing it against her side. "Never threaten me. That was your first mistake. Second, I would back away if I were you. This is high voltage and it WILL hurt."

Mars gently takes it and examines it.

 "Mn?" She tilts her head again. 

She chuckles and jumps away. She pull three circular balls from her pocket as throws them to the ground. Bright clouds of black smoke pour out. (make a CON save.)

It seems to whisper to him, telling him things that are indescribable 

 There finishes washing the dishes and sits down in a chair. "There is some stuff going on up here." he says, tapping his head.

"Oh bloody hell." CON: 12

Mars focuses on the voices.

 She walks over to him and lays her fingertips against the sides of his head. "Am i allowed to see?"

You are blinded as you feel a powerful kick hit the side of your legs and send you to the ground. 

One seems to be a frantic voice of someone in trouble while another is yelling to cause murder to everyone.

 "sure. go ahead."

Phoenix curses as he hits the ground.

Mars focuses on the voice in trouble.

 She closes her eyes and recedes into the depths of his mind.

"Maybe dont spend your time talking when you should be fighting." She says and narrows her eyes, watching him crawl around blindly. 

It sounds like a young man who is running from the police.

 There are flashes of images of Alric dying, Theren getting stabbed by a fiery haired dwarf, and of him fighting monsters.

"Oh shut up." Phoenix says.

"what the..."

 Lore eyes close tighter as she ventures deeper in. 

"Yeah yeah yeah, you wont hear much more when your dead." She hisses. He feels a blade against his neck again. 

She looks up "Mn?"

 There are more images of his friends ding and monsters he's fought. Abominations and fiends.

Phoenix hisses.

"Nevermind..."

 She pulls her mind out of his and shakes her head. "Bleh. I forget how weird that can feel."

"Now. You can either die here like a beastie or you can double the amount of money they are giving me to kill you. 5 seconds to choose, tick tock."

"You ok?" She askes

 Theren is shaking as he stands and places the freshly cooked cake on the counter.

Phoenix glares as he shoots her with the tazer. *Con save please*

Mars nods. "I am. Are you?"

 She tilts her head and walks up to him, hugging him.

She nods "Why?"

 Theren lets out a shaky breath. "i'm fine. I'm fine."

Her vision goes black and her body starts to convulse.

"Just making sure."

 "Your not Theren. What is wrong..." She said and settled her chin on his shoulder. 

She falls to the ground and twitches. 

"?"

 "Just too much has happened lately and I've kept myself busy to distract myself from it all."

Phoenix yanks out the barbs and crouches down beside her. "Sorry little rabbit. Didn't want to do that to ya..."

"I want to help you and making sure you're ok is apart of it."

 She runs a hand through his hair, messing with it. "You should deal with these feelings Theren."

She thrashes at him one last time before falling unconuisus. 

"Im ok... Somewhat."

 Theren sighs. "I dont know how to Lore."

Phoenix sighs and starts to drag her to the tavern.

"thats good to hear."

 "Say the first thing that comes to your mind." 

After a moment or two, she wakes up and narrows her eyes, keeping silent. 

"Are you ok?"

 "i feel lost.. like I dont know what to do with my life."

Phoenix continues to drag her, not noticing. "This is so stupid. She tried to kill you and your helping her." he mutters.

Mars nods. "Yes, i am."

 "How so?" She askes and begins to mess with his ears. 

"I CAN BLOODY HEAR YOU SOLDIER." she yells. Jack peeks his head out but immdeantly avoids this. 

"Are YOU sure?"

 

 theren sighs. "I feel like I don't know what to do. Like, I just have no purpose or somethin."

"Oh shut it." he says continuing to drag her.

Mars nods.
